Brianna, nothing about that dog says he's been bad. When you see a picture of any dog and automatically assume they've been bad, that might be because it's only your fucking dogs that seem to have all the issues.

Oh look, this image for the umpteenth time. When a dog that age is still misbehaving, that's a sign you're fucking neglecting it. And when you say "teach my dog a lesson about misbehavior" do you mean leaving them outside to freeze to death on a cold winter night?

Wu having dogs straight out of Silence of the Lambs is one of those details that you couldn't get away with making up because it would sound too hacky.

The best thing about video of John is how he goes into a completely autistic stimming frenzy whenever someone else is talking. He literally can't stand anyone else being allowed to speak and is desperately struggling to find any available opportunity to interrupt.

I can't tell what's more disgustingly filthy, the dog or the couch. This is the same filthy, stained couch covered in god knows what that has gotten worse every time we've seen it for the last three years or so. They have never cleaned that thing once, not even when they moved.

I'm still standing with thinking she accidentally killed her dogs and is just reposting the same image to hide the fact. What's even the point of posting this same exact image over and over again, anyway? It's astounding that she hasn't realized how revoltingly dirty that dog looks in the image.

Kind of like the time when Brianna "Software Engineer " Wu answered questions on slashdot. Someone asked him what his favorite programming language was. Instead of any kind of answer, John attacked the guy an said that simply asking such a question is sexist or something. For those unaware, Slashdot is a news site for IT nerds and software developers so it wouldn't be unreasonable for such a question to come up. Most software engineers I know, both men and women, are pretty opinionated about programing languages. At the very least, they can give you a good reason why they work using the language they do.

But yeah, what you described is pretty much John's whole M.O.

"Developer" or "Journalist"?

I'm interested in what development languages you excel in and how you mastered them - as head of development for a gaming company, I think that's my first question. Follow-up side-points would be when you transitioned from journalist to game developer, and why game development? Was it related to some of the 'sparks' and 'movements' by some other females 'in the gaming community' - and seen as an easy way to jump on a bandwagon that was clearly going to make waves? Journalist to developer just seems like a very strange transition to me, so I'm curious about the particulars. Do you have a github account where you publish some of your code?

Brianna: I’ve had many jobs over the course of my life. I’ve worked in politics and well as media. Both have been very helpful backgrounds for me in running a studio, which is a very political job. One of my greatest frustrations as a developer is that I don’t get to spend as much time doing gamedev as I used to. The truth is, I can hire another engineer - but I can’t hire someone to replace me.

I feel like my entire life has prepared me for this moment. There’s very little I would change about the choices that brought me to this point.

I can’t help but read your question and feel like you might not have the best of intentions. I read it as you are feel that I need to prove to you that I’m a legit developer. I think my record as someone whose first game won several game of the year awards speaks for itself. I think my two popular shows on Relay.FM where I am an industry analyst on technical issues speaks for itself.

I do have code up on Github, but like many women developers - it’s under a gender-neutral pseudonym, because I know it will be torn to pieces if it’s not. I once wrote a joke on Twitter with pseudocode, written to be readable for non-developers - and received a litany of sexist accusations and code critique.

There is an unconscious bias that men are assumed competent until proven otherwise, and women are assumed incompetent until proven otherwise. My track record of success speaks for itself.

He pulls a special face every time someone introduces him, especially when they blow smoke up his ass about his past "achievements". It's really noticeable, I think he gets a huge endorphin bump from being on TV. Unlike his hand gestures, which I think he learned to do, it seems to be something unconscious that he can't control
