I found a picture of the full "nominating paper":
http://ssgreenberg.name/PoliticsBlog/2012/02/12/elizabeth-warren-signature-gathering/
So there's absolutely nothing special about it, this is the form they bring around door-to-door (or not) to gather signatures on. John is just acting like it's the signing of the Declaration of Independence for him to write his name on one.

In other words, this means he's almost ready to start collecting signatures :story:

He responded to someone that he had wanted to fill out a form improperly, so it sounds like you’re either spot on or very close.

What a nitwit. He fits in well with the Wus.

If anyone has ever wondered what a “friend” of Brianna’s must be like, just look at Warren Lynch’s Facebook. He and Brianna could be siblings in another universe, alike in many ways including appearance but different in that Brianna is the over confident extroverted one and Warren is the self deprecating introvert suckling on her energy when he can.

Bets on whether the magic question was whether he had to use the Candidates actual address, or if anyone’s, like his own could be used instead? And looking at this guy, can you imagine when he starts going up to people seeking signatures? He’s gonna get maces, tapered and banned from local malls and shopping centers. We should probably get someone to film it.

His reply on what he was going to do was "Filling out a form improperly."

But earlier in the thread he said "I did it!!! They said "don't do what you're thinking about doing, or Stephen Lynch will take you to court" lol "

Now maybe Warren's lying about Stephen's name being used, but surely if Warren/Brianna were dumb enough to put the wrong address on the forms then the only thing that would happen is that they are going to simply rule all the forms and signatures invalid. There wouldn't be a court involved, Wu would have simply not be allowed to run in the primary because she didn't have the required number of signatures.

If they actually used Stephen Lynch's name and said he'd take Warren to court, to me that suggests Warren/Brianna were planning some utterly r3tarded shit and they simply told them not to do it.

"Filling out a form improperly" does fit in with "This morning I'm going into the Secretary of State's office again to deal with a bureaucracy SNAFU." which he said in the previous post, but I think that was a convenient excuse to cover for the ridiculous thing he was asking them.

The fuck was this idiot planning to do?

@Kroster want to see if you can find out?

I was on it before even finishing your post, but so far no luck. This isn't my circle so nobody who might know the inner workings of the Wu/Warren Lynch campaign would tell me, or anyone I can think of asking. I did ask a bunch of people what he could possibly be talking about, and nobody has any theories of how he could fill out a form improperly that would end with Stephen Lynch suing him.

Most form errors would just result in the form being thrown out. For example if she used the wrong address or the wrong name (getting "Lynch" in there) on a signature sheet, then the clerk would just throw away that signature sheet. Lynch wouldn't care, let alone sue.

He sounds manic. I think he's full of shit. But I still want to know what his idea was.

The best I can come up with is listing Stephen Lynch as some sort of campaign advisor or treasurer or something on an official form. That's some serious 2nd grade level subterfuge.

Because Brianna has put her campaign's future in the hands of an unemployed pothead, I think now is the time to start on a song cover we're going to need for May 9th....

"I was going to get on the ballot, but then I got high"

This is only a mildly interesting anecdote, but I'll offer it anyway.

On this FB update Warren writes that he met "this lady who knew me but I wasn't sure I knew her. But she looked at me and was like "Aren't you Warren Lynch?" and then she figured out the whole Lynch vs Lynch thing, and then she was like "oh, I don't mean to OUT you". Lol."

I happened to talk to that person today in my effort to find out what Warren's idiotic plan was, and she was not impressed that not remembering her name was part of his funny story. She said something like "If he forgot my name, he could have looked at his damn signature sheet to figure it out. He only got a few signatures." She is a truly nice person who likes everyone and actually runs real campaigns and would be a good person to have on your side, if you wanted to run a real campaign too.

Also on that FB post he has a little list of people he met and one commented that she didn't meet him. Amazing that Wu has met another person that it's impossible to tell if they're purposefully making stuff up, or just really dumb.

ETA: I tried to get a money quote from her about how stupid he seemed or how dumb his speech about Wu was, but she just said that he seemed nice and normal (I did specifically ask if he seemed normal) and his speech was good. That's the kind of nice person she is, because there's no way these things are true. I would love a video.

Me and some other politicos discussed it about a month ago but getting the necessary petitions signed to get on the ballot is absolutely not something you can half ass. It takes effort and attention to detail. The process is meant to weed out your joke candidates. So Wu is almost guaranteed to fail.

Sure it is, if you just pay a canvassing firm to do it for you. But it looks like the Wus aren't going that route.

eh, the canvassers have to live in the district and be registered dems which limits the pool of people you can contract it out to. in most races I worked on the candidate's "friends and family" were most of the labor. sure you can pay people to expedite it but usually at this early stage everybody is all giddy to go pound the pavement for their candidate and just get it done.

of course none of this applies to the Wu campaign as it doesn't really appear she has any friends and family in the district outside her husband and maybe the odd twitter follower.

hopefully they at least have a notary and elections attorney to review the signatures before submitting. in my experience the BOE is pretty strict about the signatures and sometimes when you think you have enough they throw some out and you have to go get more.

Yes, not saying it doesn't happen but I've never heard of hiring someone to get the signatures. You just need a head volunteer in each town, and they ask their friends and go places that will have members of their party. You can't go door to door or stand on a street corner, really, because in MA everyone needs to be registered to your party or an independent, so you only want to hit up people who qualify. And yes the town clerk goes through every single name to make sure they live in the town and are a registered voter. That's what happens at all of the caucuses.

Wu's campaign skipped most of the caucuses and doesn't have any volunteers. They have 15 signatures out of 2000 needed. Good fucking luck.

It's more a thing for astroturfed ballot questions, but there are companies that will do this for you.
No sane candidate would do it because the outreach you have to do to get the signatures is the same outreach you'd be doing anyway to get the people to vote for you. Wu is, as usual, doing it all ass-backwards because she hasn't actually settled on a platform she's standing on and printed up leaflets that she can hand out to people after they've signed or refused to sign, so even with Lynch going out there and talking to people the opportunity is totally wasted.

Lynch seems to be just making up stuff about what Wu stands for on the spot when he's asked, basically turning Wu in to his perfect "Berniecrat." I can see this coming back to bite them at some point, when it turns out that Wu doesn't actually support whatever radical nonsense he's spouting.

A challenge by Lynch would initiate a hearing in front of the Ballot Law Commission usually involving lawyers etc. Still not really a "lawsuit" but with the keystone campaign that the Wu's are running who knows what shenanigans they were planning. Hopefully we'll find out.

I liked that one of the common objections raised is apparently when "The candidate is a nonexistent or fictitious person." Paging Mr. Flynt...

I always think the more interesting question was what did Wu do between graduating in 1995 and going to Ole Miss in 1996? There's an entire year that's unaccounted for in the John Flynt resume.

Honestly, looking at Wu's low set and weird slanted ears and odd mandible placement, I think Wu has some kind of congenital cognitive impairment. I doubt young John was a very good student and may not have been expected to go to college, an impression supported by the fact she failed to get an undergraduate degree during a whole decade of schooling. I wonder if John's family made arrangements to pack him off to ole miss just because he completely failed to find a job in a year of trying (or, more likely, not trying.)

Sorry to be late with this, but I don't think we have any evidence that John Flynt actually graduated from high school in 1995. All we know is that he was listed in the 1995 yearbook as a senior. He was probably a senior journalism major at Ole Miss for three or four years and he never graduated there.

If he had done anything interesting during this missing year, he'd have sperged about it relentlessly for decades. Instead, he pretends that he went straight from high school to college. I think the chances are excellent that John failed to graduate with his high school class or did graduate but lacked some required coursework required for admission to Old Miss. Either way, I suspect that the missing 1995-96 college academic year was spent making up high school classes that he failed.

Brianna/John is having a really bad week, no wonder he bought a $100k Porsche with Frank’s money to cheer himself up.

Mikki Kendall, stereotypical angry black woman on Twitter #45638, raked Brianna Wu/John over the coals for a tweet he made about the Quinn Norton fiasco. It was so bad Brianna Wu/John Flynt deleted it quick.

The comments were brutal, filled with “white women feminism” callouts (as if a made up thing by dumb black women means something).

The deleted tweet in question:

Also, I’ve been following Warren Lynch and is it just me or does he come off as unstable/uhinged like most lefties and Bernie bros? Really odd John is working with him when John shat all over Bernie during the election.

Warren must really fucking hate his cousin. I’m guessing Warren is jealous he can’t break into politics like Stephen was able to or Stephen wouldn’t hire Warren on account he’s certifiable. His Facebook has a lot of autistic comments for Brianna Wu / John Flynt.
