Strategically it would seem to make sense for the right to sell her as the better liberal to the far left, vs Lynch, and then hope she might make the seat competitive in the general. They must not see it to be worth the resources, Lynch is too strong I guess.

I want to hear more about Lynch going HAM on some rando muslim for literally no reason at all. Don't the people of district 8 deserve to know that they elected a man who drove around in a pickup truck, waving a confederate flag, and mobbing anyone darker than your average Italian?

This Lynch fellow must be pretty clean if all John has on him is that:

  • He punched a dude in the 70s.
  • He voted against a gun control bill in the 90s (but since the death of a family member has been so pro on gun control that the NRA grades him at an "F").
  • He's a former alcoholic (has been sober since '82, but Brianna carries on like he was a heavy drinker until recently).
Funny thing about Lynch's list of flaws is that we can all list similar or worse things for Brianna and all of them committed more recently than '96 or whenever it was that Lynch voted against the assault weapon ban. It's a shame that Brianna is too much of a coward to really put himself in the right situation for the verbal smackdown he so richly deserves.

Please remember that Mr. Voehl only recently announced his nomination and his cash on hand is already nearly 80% of what Brianna's total cash raised over the last year and, as we've seen from the quarterlies, support has been drying up (which is putting it mildly). I am so excited to see the next set of reports mostly because I have a feeling that cash on hand is going to be lower than it is now for Wu but I want to see just how (in)effective their end-of-year call for donations was.

The Voehl stuff is fun, but Lynch is even more hilarious. Compared to Lynch's warchest, John's cash on hand is basically a rounding error.
 
Personally, the 'rose to prominence' in '14 line never fails to re-injure my rib broken laughing ITT when I read it much like what happens whenever someone refers to the game that John hasn't patched yet as a typing simulator.

When he was young, he flipped out on shithead Iranians during the Iranian hostage crisis. I would bet anyone in District 8 who remembers that would not hold it against him in the least, and would instead question the dubious patron of a screaming tranny ghoul.

It may be Wikipedia has the demographics wrong since redistricting, since Jamaica Plain is now apparently in District 8.
