Really, if anyone in the media wanted to destroy Brianna Wu, they could do it in thirty seconds. She constantly pimps herself as an engineer? Fine. Produce your engineering degree. We don't even need to see GPA or class rank or anything. Just prove you have an actual degree from an accredited institution.

It's not that they can't be bothered or that it would require any effort. She's just barely useful enough not to destroy her like the insect she is -- she keeps the noise machine going on nonsense like "the alt right was born in Gamergate!" and gives the appearance of a Brave Woman in Tech Standing Up to the Testosterone Orcish Horde.

If she ever actually threatened anyone of more use to the cause -- say, if she were actually in danger of beating Lynch and either throwing the seat to the Republicans or becoming a clownshow in congress -- the press would lift the finger they'd need to throw her under the bus.
 
I saw someone tweeting at her a while back asking where she got her engineering degree, and she didn't respond, but a bunch of people did respond to it saying "You don't need a degree to be an engineer!"

@LordKaT Can't tell if John gave up on getting his website back up or not, he changed the ebegging link on his Twitter profile from the briannawu2018 to supportbrianna sometime between the 28th and the 3rd. His listed email is still the same though.

This is one thing she's actually right about, at least if you are a software developer ("software engineer") which I think is what Wu wants to be considered. My boss doesn't have a degree and I think dev is 80/20 degree/no where I work.

What counts is what you know, and more than that having an aptitude for and enjoying code. Brianna's constant spouting of technical sounding terminology she obviously read about for several minutes before tweeting in a vain attempt to mask her ignorance is what exposes her, not her lack of a degree.

She would never make it past the basic skills test part of any job interview.

That's hilarious. Godzilla of Tech just gave up trying to get the website up. I have a feeling we'll never hear about it again.

The funniest part is the last year of interviews all pointed to that website. So all the puff pieces written up are now pointing to a dead site.
