I refuse to take this idiot seriously when he was caught faking his own harassment, exaggerating a bonafide hoax as actual threats to his life, and the FBI dossier on the shit this asshat reported revealed him to be a lying bastard.

Granted, he does make one decent point: the laws did not anticipate the Internet as it exist today, but I'm sure far more competent people than this proven fool could remedy that.

Okay, this is so fucking dumb my inner history sperg is laughing his ass off.

There is a reason Congress has a bunch of old people, the qualifications for being a member of the House and Senate require someone to be around their thirties and forties, and the same goes for the President.

And that just applies to their age. That does not factor in any prior experience they had in public service, which they would need to spend several more years proving they had, and even if they are rich enough via non public service to skip proving themselves via that route, they would still need to be able to inspire confidence they could assume a public service role via their campaign, which would mean making a ton of friends in high places who could vouch for you, which would take several years at least.

That's why so many older people are in Congress, they worked their ass off and have the money, experience, and connections you can only acquire via the virtues of age and hard work.

And as applied to John Flynt, LOL.

All he's got is some dumb shills, piss in the bucket when it comes to money (Frank's wallet is not nearly fat enough to buy an election by itself), and a record of fucking up and saying stupid shit that would crater the confidence of any influential person who wants to make sure their money and influence won't be wasted, and that's why he's screwed by default.

Besides, for Trump being detached from reality, Trump has yet to be dumb enough to spew bullshit about moon rocks and bitcoin draining the world energy supply.

In addition, the mental and physical health thing is probably to retroactively prevent Trump from getting into office. But they forget Hillary had lots of health problems during the campaign and Bernie is old as fuck already.

Yeah that's something I've been thinking about too, especially with Hillary. I didn't pay attention to the election itself much, but didn't she have major medical problems during the campaign?

Replacing Trump with her, even if she was a better candidate personality and worldview-wise, would still only be worse because she'd probably be spending half the time as president suffering from one of many issues she probably has by now.

The way I see it Trump is that great uncle you have that only eats fast food and never exercises but he's like 75 and is still healthy. And tbh I'd rather have a President with a huge ego that shitposts on Twitter than one who might have a stroke on international TV and die.
