I'm not the Wu expert but I believe he went to live with his aunt in Colorado when he was 29 after he had got out of rehab and his parents finally had enough.

Not quite. The rehab was earlier, this was after another I think 2-3 years of enrolment at Ole Miss. It was August/September time in 2006. That was the year Wu went full tranny and started taking hormones, so it's easy to speculate what went down.
