I think part of why he's given up on the motorcycle fantasy is because he can't ride one or pass the licensing tests. Brianna made one comment earlier this year about failing the written test and I don't think he's said a word about motorcycles since. Makes sense for him to give up on something on the first hurdle.

Now that R60 is 'behind' them, the idea Flu hasn't ever been able to ride that dumbass bike makes more sense - we never see them actually driving the damn thing the few times it appeared early in the scampaign run and the bike itself is AWOL.

Who would win in a fight, Tommy Wiseau or John Flynt?
There was a line I read in a review for The Disaster Artist that could perhaps apply to both Wiseau and Wu.

To paraphrase: The problem with either The Room or R60 isn't that the final product fell below expectations. The problem is that their creators made exactly what they set out to make.

I disagree with that. Wiseau actually set out to make something on the level of Citizen Kane, and actually thought he was doing that. John set out to create some gross fap fantasy, and failed even at that.

The difference is Wiseau's failure actually has some passion in it.

More or less what I was getting at.

Wiseau was repeatedly alerted to his financially wasteful habits and socially stunted artistic vision, but stuck to his guns like nothing was wrong.

Wu needed a game to be called a game designer, so she made a game in which the passion she put into it (none) comes through clearly. (Also, a socially stunted artistic vision, given her history with the characters. No word whether Frank warned her about wasting money.)

EDIT: The thought occurs: Both Wiseau and Wu want to be seen and adored by millions, but their answers to the most basic personal questions are inconsistent at least, wrathful at worst.

While reading “The Disaster Artist,” I’ve come to the conclusion that it was a money-laundering operation.
Why? Because Tommy Wiseau would buy equipment that is normally rented. It would make no sense for him to buy camera equipment unless he was planning to sell it afterwards to make it look legit.

Did he sell it afterwards, though? Or did he keep it for future idiotic movies?

Also if he actually bought shit like a Steadicam, I wouldn't blame him in the least. Those fucking things are awesome.

Which future idiotic movies? He’s only made TV and YouTube content as a director after the room and I doubt he used film cameras when directing those.

Also, he’s turning into tranny Alice Cooper, it seems.

You can't be serious.

Tommy Wiseau has balls. John may have kept his in a jar, but I doubt it.

Wiseau busted his ass to fund his dream. John married money.

Wiseau in two rounds.

Wiseau in two rounds.

And that's just because he'd spend the first round dancing around and asking John things like, "How's your sex life?" and laughing, "What a story!"

Brianna has been obsessed with flashy sports cars for awhile. One of his earliest fandoms is James Bond and, when writing Election Eve, his shitty characters drove very expensive, cool cars. It even shows a bit in his early Brianna Wu art.

Yea for alot less than that Porsche, they could've bought the Elise from the "whappity pow" illustration... and had money left over for upgrades.

John mansplains to the RSS Feed Bot that his Cayman isn't impractical because he just eats Blue Apron and uses Uber to get around.

"In 2017, groceries get delivered!"

Isn't this asshole usually more careful about showing his privilege?
No, not really. Brianna is clueless about the value of money and oblivious to just how privileged his life really is.

I read that motorcycle thread, and Brianna's total silence when strangers were insulting her husband was deafening. Most women completely flip their shit if you talk about their husbands like that. No matter how much they criticize their husbands themselves. They'll often realize it's doing no good and that they look like fools pretty quickly, but that first impulse is usually too strong to override.

It's easy to pretend you're above it all when you don't actually give a fuck.
