*if you want to "take off" in first gear, you are going to harm the clutch. The extremely expensive clutch that Porsche has fitted knowing they are going to sell loads of them to idiots like you.
^ Yes that's exactly what you should do John. Every small decrease in speed, say from 90 to 89 you should slap that thing in second and jump off the clutch, you wont believe the awesome noise that will make. From 79 to 78 go straight for 1st, its what all the racing drivers do.

He smugly thinks if anything goes wrong with the car(IE- someone who has no idea how to drive manual driving it from Virginia to Massachusetts) it is covered by whatever half assed warranty he got from the JEEP dealer for his Porsche.

Dont you know that John is an expert on insurance policy, economics, engineering, game design, sociology, psychology, biology whatever flavour of the week is on vox etc.

John thinks his insurance plan works the same as throwing rocks from the moon, aka provides amazing efficiency and covers just about everything you need at that specific area.

Like I said... the Porsche was someones toy that they drove into the ground and dumped before the issues of non-maintenance really reared their ugly heads.
Nothing drains the wallet than an ill taken care of car like this.
 
It isn’t like John is going to maintain the Porsche any better than the previous owner did, so it’s just as well he got a shitty one.

If John really wants to learn how to drive properly he should shell out for a good HPDE.

But John is exactly the sort of retard who would think he was Hurley Haywood after 2 laps, go too fast, and have a giant crash that would kill himself and the driving instructor.

I can't see myself buying something like a car without an up-to-date service record. For a hobbyist mechanic, I imagine not having these records to be quite a handicap when trying to figure out what needs fixing and where things can be improved.

Does Wu just take a wrenching to random part and hopes for the best?
