I met them both irl a few months ago. Contrary to popular belief Frank isn’t a constantly screaming midget. he was a bit shorter than me, I’m 6 feet even, and closed his mouth a few times. Wu was a full head taller than me and towered over everybody else around. It cannot be understated how poorly Wu blends in as a woman.

I know Frank comes across as deeply peculiar in media (I will never get that first campaign ad out of my head) but I think it bears keeping in mind that about 90% of his weirdness stems from the fact he's willing to support, marry, and do the horizontal mambo with a castrated living skeleton.

looks worse. TV makes it a little harder to tell how gangly a person is because theyre behind a desk or they actually try to make the interviewer and the subject seem the same height. But Wu stuck out a sore thumb without a dick. My friend actually commented "that is the tallest fucking tranny I've ever seen." The head bob wasn't as bad irl but nobody was asking Wu hard questions. Wu had on those awful glasses and the same black dress he always wears.

Ya know in my country you have to be a resident in a district for at least a year if you want to run for local government there. This is specifically so some asshole who doesn't know jack shit about the issues in said district they would represent can't be elected in the first place. Are there similar laws in the US?
Not at the federal level, where the qualifications are in the Constitution and can't easily be changed or added to. There are some state elections with requirements you actually live in the area you're running for office, or anti-carpetbagger party rules.
Carpetbagging is a particularly sore point in the South, where after the Civil War, Northern politicians moved to the South and were widely seen as corrupt and taking advantage of the situation (which was more or less true).
I agree on that front. It's easy to be cynical, but hard to actually do something to improve a shit situation. I don't attach any bullshit politics to my views, though.
