Did they breakdown what they were spent on? I know one of Frank's friends got some money for video editing but the rest could have just been spent to buy them each MacBook Pros.
 
The media treats it as a fluff human interest story (I'm not sure I'd call Wu human, but I digress) and won't get more serious about because anyone with any intelligence knows it's a joke campaign. There is no reason to do any digging and destroy a doomed campaign.

Short of all the other candidates dying, there isn't any reason to cover Wu in any serious way. If Lynch felt any pressure on this Wu's background would already have been everywhere.

I'd argue that a real journalist might want to point out the person raising 6-figures in political donations is a con artist. That's sort of what journalists should be doing.

They're at least trying to get elected. This is just John's way of getting some attention, buying shit on Amazon with campaign contributions, and taking free vacations.

If this was some alt-right dweeb they'd have checked his college transcripts and vetted every tweet they ever wrote 50 times.

There are thousands of scam campaigns across the country. No one is gonna waste the time vetting them. Morons willing to donate money to Wu deserve to be parted from their money.

So was she born in Virginia or West Virginia? Virginia has a ton of Navy bases, West Virginia not so much. I'd find it weird if her father was stationed in WV or even in western Virginia, unless it was at some obscure VA hospital or something.

They're only pulling in $5,000 a quarter now. $3,000 is going to go for rent. You're looking at at least a few grand to get those signatures so they're either going to need to start saving or it's going to have to come out of Frank's 401k.

Frank didn't list a 401k as an asset on the initial paperwork, if I remember correctly.

They're also paying 2500 a quarter to run their campaign website, so it's already a losing venture as far as I can tell.
