just saying...idiots can give narcan. If you give narcan to someone and they arent o.d-ing on opiods it wont harm them (but please check! Opiods o.d have pin prick sized pupils). My area gives kits out for free because even junkies can do it. It's inter muscular, so you jab it in the bicep. It's not specialized, or hard. For the extra "special" they have a Nasal spray version.

P.s narcan is technically even safe for pregnant women.

Those are at best feel good delivery mechanisms. Yeah giving it to someone who doesn't need it does no harm in theory. Amazingly its one of the few drugs you can give the same dose via IM or IV. You can't OD it and it has such a short effective time span. Well beyond an invasive drug injection from people who have never heard of an alcohol wipe. But IM is not a good or effective delivery system when their vitals start depressing. IM will stop a bad trip. It's at best a crap shoot to stop an OD. And that's the huge problem with it. Fools are handing the stuff out as a safety net. Narcan exits your system far far faster than the heroin does. It doesn't stop the overdose. It just delays it a bit. But using Narcan as a handout at the drug den they use it and then wander off. Once you resort to Narcan they need to be heading for the ER. And a Nasal Spray version? Yeah no, sorry. yet again it might ruin a bad trip. Maybe. But unless you are pouring the full dose down an ET tube for direct full dose absorption into the lungs, you aren't going to counter the crashing vitals. I'll grant you if you know someone has taken way to much of an Opiod, and you start hitting him immediately with IM Narcan you may delay the Opiod absorbtion long enough to ride it out. But that's only if you start before they actually start crashing.

Look similarly Epinephrine is available in IV and IM doses. IM is appropriate for Alergic Reactions, but does nothing in a Cardiac emergency. It just can't get into the system fast enough. Once Vitals start dropping it is IV, ET or Interoceous (nobody does interocceus) . Similarly if you are seeing a huge difference with IM Narcan, they probably didn't really need it to begin with. you just ruined his high.

As I mentioned earlier one of the bigger dangers is popping Narcan in a situation where the drug user has been broadly sampling from the recreational buffet. If you have both Opiod Depressants in their system alongside Amphetamines or High end Stimulants such as Cocaine, Meth, any number of interesting pills or god help me Fentanyl, it gets interesting. Granted thats not a reason to not give the Narcan as the Depressant is the greater immediate life risk, but most need to realize that that dudes system is strung out like a stretched rubber band. The Opiod is mitigating the effects of the heavy Stimulant. When you pop the narcan you let go of one end of the rubber band, not the other. This tends to make the effects of the other drug much much worse and you are now fighting a massive stimulant overdose. (little field rule when popping Narcan. Restrain their hands first. And where possible have a large Cop sit on their legs. It avoids messy and annoying paperwork later.) And let me tell you, you haven't lived until you hit somebody with Narcan and discover they've also been dabbling in that good old standby PCP. Closest you'll ever come to a Godzilla movie.

Also EMTs are very often dealing with people who already have. Maybe they've even just been dumped out into the street by their "buddies" after it was already obvious they'd OD'd. These are people who might not have been breathing for minutes.

How much do we know about Wus drug abuse?

I get that we are aware of her past treatment years ago.
She's clearly deranged at times but there's a consistency about it that seems to have always been there. Wouldn't a drug habit make her have a downward spiral or some kind of major break with her past behavior?

Then delete them in the morning

Wu has no job to keep business to maintain or family to provide for.

As long as Frank's money Poor's in theres nowhere to spiral down to.
