She didn't say anything of note. Just that sexism has been around forever and that Google thing released was old-hat and just annoying to her. She brought up Gamer Gate and getting death threats as an example.
If it does get posted online afterwards, as their radio stories often do, I'll be sure share it.

In Germany a right-wing Party exists named NPD (National-Democratic Party of Germany) and it is exactly what you think it is: A party full of dumb neo-nazis - and no, I am not exaggerating here. You will be hard pressed to find a sane individual among those guys. The ongoing, failing motions to ban that party are amounting to Germany's saddest 'nazi running gag' by now (*). Well, the second saddest running gag, since the justice system is still able to dig up geriatrics, who did something-something at some concentration camp and put them on trial. ( ...third saddest, if you count the length of the NSU-Trial that is still going on. )

Don't get me wrong, I am in favor of banning the NPD for being anti-constitutional, as well as putting people on trial for murder - no matter how long that murder (or assisted murder) lies back. But literally everyone I know personally rolls their eyes, says "That shit again." and carries on with their life, if one of those things bubble up in the media.

My point is: We've got Nazi marches here, from a few hundred up to one to three thousand. There is always a fuckload of cops around, there are always counter-protests and usually coverage about those protests vanishes within a few days. And you guessed it, normal people roll their eyes at that stuff, hope that no one get's hurt and carry on...

...and if the Germans are much more collected about Nazi-shit than you are, you are overreacting, a lot.

(*) Fun fact, the last time the German Federal Constitutional Court didn't approved of a ban, because, although the NPD might has anti-constitutional tendencies, they aren't simply not able to endanger democracy - giving credit to the fact how incompetent the party is. I guess the Court reckoned it might be easier to have all the nut-cases stay where the police already knows to find them.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the feds are letting these extremist groups exist as moron magnets just to send in infiltrators to watch what's going on and separate out the mere idiots from the potential terrorists. Sort of like how anyone responding to some dude sending out feelers trying to hire a "hit man" turns out to be an undercover agent.
 
I would like to know why CBC would bother to talk to Wu. There's multiple fires in BC that are more important than he is. The 3.4 magnitude earthquake a week ago is more important. Hell the $0.67 hamburgers at McDonalds today are more important than Brianna Wu.

Read the article. She blatantly agrees with the majority of their opinions and on first glance she has impressive credentials. The last thing they want to do is speak to one of the 30 or so YouTube commentators who would slap their narrative down with ease.
