At this point barring a repeat of 2012's Tea Party shenanigans McCaskill and Donnelly are walking dead. Tester, Heitkamp, Brown, and Baldwin should be sleeping with one eye open. And Manchin, Casey, Nelson, and Kaine better hope they don't draw any particularly strong opponents. And as our friend Ossoff proved the House is a dead end for Democrats. Meanwhile the Democrats might be lucky enough to bump off Heller and maybe a Governor or two at best. Might as well make the inevitable salt thread 16 months early.

I don't know what Wu's exposure to lawyers is but it's obviously extremely narrow; probably just in the media. In reality, of course, even practicing lawyers do very little arguing as most legal work happens in contractual areas and not courtrooms.

Nevertheless, we know that soon Brianna will be tweeting about how "we legal experts need to..."

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I wouldn't be annoyed to see more politicians with backgrounds in different industries, but of course lawyers are going be more common in political roles thanks to the overlap in skills. Brianna is, of course, only brining this up because what she really wants to say is "I'm not qualified to be a politician but you should still vote for me"
