Mechanic here... John overpaid for this lemon to start with.
With all the questionable work and shaker can paint job, he would be lucky to get $3,000.
Especially since the POS has over 100,000 and probably no history of maintenance.


Edit- looking at lower mileage TT's for sale that have been well taken care of, I'm changing that to $2,500.
The only people buying TT's like this are high school and college kids with a little extra money to blow, because it's fun to mess around with them and mod their looks.

For like seven or eight grand (looking on the East coast), they could have had a really nice, dealer serviced, two owner car with records, desirable options, and under 100k miles. THOSE are the cars that eventually appreciate in value.

I'm not a huge Audi guy but there was a version of the TT with GORGEOUS baseball glove leather interior that's somewhat sought after. I could have bought two of them for what Wu has wrapped up in their shitbox.

Honestly the shitty spraybomb paintjob and hacked-up wiring harness devalued that pile more than anything else. While questionable modifications are usually a sign of bigger issues, it's comparatively inexpensive to replace a tacky shift knob or low-end aftermarket wheels with something nice or factory. Crummy bodywork and a wonky electrical system is going to take real money to set right and will prompt most people to run like hell, especially when combined with the other stuff.
 
John invested in making that car driveable to save face but the more money he pumps into it the dumber he looks.

He does this all the time, doubling down on stupidity because he can't admit he's wrong.

I see several problems Wu might have, especially with the "truthful" and "consistently" bits.
 
Wu tweet-bragged about being a great and totally real mechanic and posted a list over all the work he's done on the car, with some entries still "to do" like changing the clutch.

Wu then tweets about putting the car in the shop(again) so actual mechanics can install a new clutch.

It's impressive, sometimes, how fast the blatant lies unravel themselves.

John is literally a pathological liar. He can't even stick to the same lie for minutes. Maybe his remaining Patreons are so fucking dumb they can't remember he lied five minutes ago and then said the exact opposite in his next tweet. I think it's pure mental illness.

I still can't figure what he claims the patreon is for anymore and why people continue donating. His studio is defunct and he's completely dropped discussion of making any new games. I know it's a scam but he's not offering videos, patreon only posts, Natalie died in childbirth, etc.

It's down to $1200 so I guess people are catching on and getting tired of tranny welfare.
