John would scream about Gamergate and Internet trolls.

But Lynch would have documentation from actual opposition research.
And that would be exactly what cements it. While we have no doubts whatsoever, an accomplished politician with documentation against someone who just spergs about nonsense that isn't relevant to the fears and concerns of the voting population.

It would be over so quickly. I really, really want it to happen. For the salt.

You're one to talk about scams, John.

Going in for round 2 (or 3, or 6...) on capitalizing on a tragedy to make a poorly thought out political point. Never change.

I mean... even armed with a scary "assault rifle" (yes, yes, I know...) and semi-automatic pistol, the guy had a kill count of: zero. I'm not sure this is a great example of how guns are killing us when he would have probably been able to do more by just driving his van through the field.

But that wouldn't check off the box for aspiring failed politicians I guess.

You know secretly John was cheering on the attack on Republican politicians but had to virtue signal his way into being a "good" "person".

Wait, "Air Force Navy story"? Explain!

Have fun! If you read the whole thread you'll see that most people smell the bullshit coming off of this post because they're, what, literate and have an IQ of over 50?

It reads like fan fic: "Next thing I know, he's climbing on the back seat of my bike! He wraps his arms around me and presses his body into me tightly!"

Brianna, never failing to live life as a pathetic caricature of a human, actually says later in the thread, "At the end of the day, though - you have to admit, boys will be boys." I would wager that most of us here wouldn't even say that, yet this Godzilla of Feminism seemed to believe it.

To be fair, she had only been living as a woman for about 4 years at this point. She'd lived as rich, spoiled John for 29 years before that.

One commenter skirts dangerously close to the truth....
I gotta admit...I'd never have the balls to do that to some random girl...
So does another....

haha, totally thought a dude wrote this, sooo many things weren't making sense.

I'm just getting caught up...wow.

So, among online car enthusiast communities, "build threads" are fairly common, wherein someone chronicles the work they perform on their project vehicle to bring it up to the standard the owner desires.

It's a solid way to share your experiences with the community, and can be a good way to document work for future resale. It's also helpful to people who are working on the same type of car, for tips, reference, and inspiration.

Usually procedures aren't outlined in such detail unless they are particularly arcane or uncommon.

Wu's twitter "build thread," even taken out of context, is one of the funniest things I have ever read. Terrible prep work, shitty material quality, and the entirely wrong environment for such work. The comical transplaining was the cherry on top of the shit sundae. The car looks like hot dog shit.

Never change, John.

"I spoke with a psychologist who suggested attacks like we saw during GamerGate can change the emotional tenor of society -- do you agree with that idea?"
That's not a question designed to push an agenda at all. No siree.

The whole article is an embarrassment to journalism but what do you expect from a Brianna Wu piece?

Welp, are you ready for some hard-hitting journalism?

Featuring some challenging interview questions that are squarely within Wu's area of expertise, such as:

"I spoke with a psychologist who suggested attacks like we saw during GamerGate can change the emotional tenor of society -- do you agree with that idea?"

Edit: Also, "video games are a different industry than white supremacy." Lol.

When Brianna inevitably falls out of favor (and we know this is going to happen eventually) how stupid are these "journalists" going to look for parroting rumors and not doing a modicum of fact-checking?

On the bright side, there are a few good journalists who are asking her real questions. This radio interview wasn't even hard-hitting, yet notice how Brianna falls apart at even the most basic questions about her failing businesses and lack of political experience. LOL @ Wu spending years telling people she was basically buddies with George W. Bush and now playing it down to the actual reality of being a do-nothing intern for Trent Lott. Also I love how Wu is so brazen about how Stephen "a leopard doesn't change his spots" Lynch can't evolve on issues, while Wu is allowed to completely flip.

I laughed particularly hard at:
"Are you living in the 8th district now?"
"Wedon'ttalkaboutwhereIlive but uh we will be living here..."

Can you imagine if Twitter were a video blogging site? Wu has nearly 40 years of practice living lies, so she can fool people with her written words for awhile. (If you believe a lie strongly enough it becomes fact to you.) But if it were a video blogging site, people would take one look at her insane and inane screeching and immediately click off her profile.

As far as we know, she has no friends she's met in real life.

I'm willing to bet good money that Lynch doesn't even know Wu's running against him.
It's not that he doesn't know. It's that his constituents don't know, because she's a nobody. He's making the politically savvy move to ignore her existence, because he knows that without a larger platform for her to speak on, she's already lost.
It's sort of the inverse of the Streisand Effect. If he doesn't give her the benefit of an audience, he's won the argument without ever having it.
This is in addition to the fact that if his staff has access to Google and 20 seconds, they already know they can bury her alive at their leisure. The woman has so much dirt on her and so many lies documented in so many places, it'd take a decent politician an afternoon to dismantle any public trust in her.

Alex, I'll take "Bullshit You Made Up" for $500, please.

The best part about the "where do you live" question is that it's not even the first time Wu has been asked it. You would think Brianna would have come up with something for it by now, but he still flounders every time it (or really, any question) comes up.

Those few interviews where the host engages with Wu and questions him show how deep in his own little world John is and how ill-equipped he is for dealing with anything outside of reinforcing his viewpoints. If this keeps up, expect another meltdown like what happened with Pakman.

Not to mention his team is likely seasoned when it comes to political secret finding and have access to resources and sources others don't have. Which I think John knows on some level. He knows that unlike so-called "journalists" like the ones from the huffpo or other liberal rags Lynch's team is dedicated to helping him, not pushing a toxic political agenda for asspats.

John will eventually drop out before things ever get really serious.

Ho hum, more of the exact same. 'Gamergate ruined my life, I'll destroy them all as congress-"woman" Wu'

This though....
Wu said:
I love developing video games. It's my life's purpose.

Has anyone ever seen any evidence that Wu enjoys the game making process beyond her fantasies that this time she'll make it big as a rich and influential game developer?

OK, yes, she's handicapped in as far as doing the normal things game developers do in that she has no actual ability to code. That makes it difficult to fiddle with little prototypes and do game jams like anyone else passionate about game dev. You'd think though, if she were really keen on game development for its own sake, she'd at least try to learn. I've seen people starting from no programming skills produce decent commercial games with things like game maker.

She doesn't even have any pride in her existing work. She hasn't even attempted to fix the bugs in R60 and, even as a non-programmer, those really aren't the hardest things in the world to correct. She basically just dumped the whole release process on Frank as soon as she realised R60 was a lemon and told all her kickstarter backers to go fuck themselves.

She made exactly one game and then ran to do her cosplay politician thing. That's not the action of someone who loves to make games. In fact, it sounds like Notch (without the $1.4b payoff from Microsoft), who has freely admitted that he doesn't really like making games.
