Let's dissect that first sentence.
- According to John, men have lost all their rights to become women. So how does he expect to get a judge to sign off on another name change? If he really thinks Trump is going to ban his HRT, what good will changing his name do?
- John was never "in" tech, just like he was never a real candidate for congress, and he was never a real woman. He ran a game studio in which he admitted he wrote no code, and had Frank and a bunch of underpaid women doing the actual work.
- As a nobody, John has even fewer qualifications for tech work than he does as Brianna Wu. As Brianna, John used to have contacts through Frank, but even that won't be enough to overcome his last several years spent doing nothing but twitter posting.
- He can leave public life now. Just delete twitter. He's got Frank's retirement worth of toys to keep him entertained. Which apparently isn't good enough because they still go out to pay for pinball instead of playing one of his many machines.
- He got lots of plastic surgery just so he could post his ugly mug at every opportunity. That's the main reason he'll never go back to being unknown.
But we all know it's just a guilt trip for anyone stupid enough to believe he's sacrificing anything. He can't even take a twitter break for more than a day.
You're right, it's fishing for pity and nothing more.
As I've said before, John has been so ridiculously privileged for nearly his entire life, he's completely out of touch with how the rest of us fare. From a good upbringing where his parents paid for his college and animation studio failures, to leeching off Frank for his tranny surgeries and every failed whim afterward, he has never truly known struggle. Sure, he claims he was living out of his car between those two periods of his life, but considering how much he lies, I'm starting to doubt that the year or two of "poverty" was as bad as he claimed.
John could literally log off Twitter tomorrow and enjoy the rest of his days doing absolutely nothing while Frank pays for whatever he wants. He can dedicate his life to speedrunning SMB2 Peach-only, play a different pinball game every day of the week, tool about in his four (4) Porsches, or go back under the knife for the umpteenth round of plastic surgery. He could leave all this bullshit drama behind and fade away, no longer having to worry about harassment as people forget who he is.
But he can't do that. He's not content just to have wealth, he wants fame as well. He
needs others to know how cool and special he is, and drama feeds into that, no bad publicity and all that. He isn't happy unless people are talking about him, even if it's nothing but mockery since he can always spin that into his martyr complex. Thus, while the rest of us can look at his life objectively and scratch our heads why he isn't just logging off and enjoying how he lucked out into a better life than he deserves, John will remain, always spouting his stupidity to anyone who will listen.
