Wu's narcissism really astounds me. I'm not an expert on these things, but in about 2 minutes of minimal brainpower usage I've come up with a few things I'd do before I even dreamed of running for local government, let alone broadcast my intention to the world.

First steps would probably be getting yourself known in the local politics scene:
  • Attend some meetings of the local branch of whichever political party appeals to you most, get a feel for the people there and the work they do.
  • If you like what you see, sign up for some volunteering opportunities said branch usually offers e.g. posting newsletters/pamphlets through doors, canvassing, working a phonebank.
  • Organise to speak to your local representative in private (in the UK MPs usually hold 'surgeries' once a week), maybe ask if they need any assistance/have any jobs going, offer my services for free. It would be valuable experience to learn from the person who is doing the job you plan on doing one day.
  • Basically try to make it as likely as possible that you will benefit from nepotism and cronyism.
Then a few things to familiarise yourself with the local population, and also become familiar to the local population (as well as making yourself look good).
  • Volunteer at various social organisations in the area, to better understand the least-privileged's concerns and connect with the people you are going to be working for.
  • Volunteer as a Teaching Assistant at a local school, for the same reasons as above.
Only after at least a few years of this mixture of politicking and being a productive part of my community would I think about the possibility of running.

Yeah but that shit takes effort, common sense and people skills, three things which Wu lacks entirely.
Bitching on Twitter about how much better things would be if you were in charge is something that any twat with Internet can do.

Yesterday I had this saved in the comment area of the site; Flynt already has laid blame for the election night surprise on the black President of the country's feet previously.

Listening to a book twice and not noticing the similarities of Hillary's abortion of a nominated run and Flu for Congress '18 is only par for the course. I had hoped for something interesting, such as an attempted pivot to the right.

But today he delivered exactly that, so now I'm all like;

How broken could federal government be? It's kept John the hell out of it so far, it's working as far as I can tell.

idiot.

Isn't legal no-questions-asked, and free, access to testosterone, steroids and dick pills still behind the "doctor wall" or whatever trannies call it? Penis enlargement surgeries can't possibly be covered by private health insurance, ACA or anything like that. Same for hair plugs or whatever they do to balding men.

Those are all things trannies would consider life saving healthcare: hormones, genital modifications and surgeries to change the outward appearance.

Some more tweets about healthcare, what he'll do WHEN he's in Congress, Trump (almost, basically) killing all trans etc...

And in between those, this tweet that got memory-holed

Maybe Brianna is limiting it to only a couple of transgendered posts a day to make sure no one gets the 'wrong' idea...

One of these days John is going to really slip up and reveal his transgender history, by doing something silly like appearing in public.

The day when Brianna openly announces that she's transgender, will be the same day when #WellDuh will be trending on Twitter.

Off-topic, but I immediately thought of my favorite "engineer" of all time when I read this article. Maybe Wu gets a pass in Massachusetts because he only calls himself an engineer and never actually talks about engineering? (FWIW, this guy even has a degree in electrical engineerng. Just no license.)

Professional Engineers and Engineers are two different things. You don't necessarily need a license(which would make you a Professional Engineer) in order to work as an Engineer. Below shows you why:

Do I need to be licensed as an engineer?

All states require licensure for engineers who offer their services directly to the public. Engineers who are licensed are called Professional Engineers (PE). Civil, mechanical structural, industrial and environmental engineers are most likely to seek licensure because they often work for government agencies. Computer engineers are least likely to seek licensure.

Although licensure laws vary, most boards require four steps:

  • Earn a bachelor's degree in engineering from a school accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
  • Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination
  • Complete at least four years of engineering experience
  • Pass the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) examination
Though being a Professional Engineer would be very good on any application in the Engineering field. As you're seen as more trustworthy. Though I'd love for John to stop talking about it. If he's not doing anything with his degree then there's no point to bringing it up.
