Wu is far from the only person who doesn't get this. Who, exactly, does he think the rules of civility and decency are really protecting? The entire point of far-leftist protesting, boiled down to its essence, is "make a total ass of yourself right in other people's faces, because they're too civil to respond in kind". Flynt/Wu's tweet makes no sense to me. Shouldn't "a lot less to lose" be "a lot more to lose"? It seems to me that those with the most to lose would be in favor of polite discourse leading to no change in the status quo.

What am I missing here?

It grinds my gears whenever he gets all outraged about abortion and shit like this. It's not he would ever have to deal with an unwanted pregnancy but he sure as hell will get up in arms as though he might.

I might ask that question, if only to gain some clarification on Flynt/Wu's previous tweets stating that he and Frank "decided not to have children." I think Mother Nature made that decision for Mr. and Mr. Wu many decades ago. And writing have instead of the actual options of adopt or the much more likely kidnap is bald-faced prevarication. Ditto for his writing about the horrors faced by women in tech "when we have children."

If he were smarter with English, he could point to the fairly common use of "when" to mean "if."

I doubt he's aware of that, though.

He did decide not to have children, though, when he chopped off his testicles.
