Yeah, Takei is being satirical and Wu missed it entirely.

And all this incompetence I've seen over Wu's political adventure takes me back to something I wrote when I hoped after R60 crashed and burn, that maybe an adventure in politics would be a more sobering experience that some actual wisdom would be learned from.

If there is anything Wu needs to lose if he actually wants to get anywhere in life, it's his delusions of grandeur, and I was hoping finding out that all the attention he was desperate for would be a "be careful what you ask for" as a politician would backfire so badly he just might learn all the bluffing he's done to make people think him competent would come back to haunt him, but to my regret he still refuses to learn.

Yes, it is funny watching this backfire, but it's also pretty sad all the time such nonsense has imploded in his face before he has refused to take heed to, and in a country that need capable leaders of actual talent, we have one of middling gifts at best wasting everyone's time.

It depends how John actually put it into practice. For all we know, he could have still paid the employees a solid, competitive salary on-time every month. Unlikely, but possible.

Speaking of - has anyone ever tried pulling a credit report on any of the Wu/Flynt businesses? I fooled around briefly with some of the credit bureaus' websites, but nobody seemed to have any record of Chessboard, Gadanin, Socially Unconscious, etc.

Much like with Wu, I am sure Takei's "I'm a fag and I want to run against a guy who helped Trump one time by telling the truth during an investigation" campaign will certainly be a real winner with voters who actually give a shit.

I think Takei could actually get elected given a proper district. But he's not in that district and isn't serious anyway. His main issue is being really old. Unlike John, though, he could actually make a credible run.

By comparison, there literally isn't a district in the country where John would not be an absolute joke of a candidate doomed to getting a few dozen gag votes.
