There literally are none real detransition rates known because nobody can really define what detransition entails. Is it only medically detransitioning or does that include someone who wakes up from the delusion and realises you can't change sex, but keeps on taking estrogen and presenting as the other sex because it's easier? We also know that follow ups are mediocre - that Swedish study they love to cite with 2% detransition rate didn't account for about half of the people that transitioned for example.

At this point we can only say that there's been a massive increase in FtMs in the past few years, but we know nothing about their detransition rates. He equates that people like Chloe Cole being highly visible with FtMs en masse detransitioning.

Regardless of detransition rates, Brianna essentially states that young boys should be allowed to transition after three whole months of therapy, because it's unacceptable that they be depressed for any longer than that, and estrogen is great. I don't even disagree with him about FtMs, but his motivation is extremely self-serving. Not only that, but given the violent reaction by trannies to anyone who dares to become an apostate of troon ideology by dropping the charade, or even mentioning that they might not be a tranny after all, there's a culture of fear around detransitioning. Some are afraid of doing damage to "the cause," while others worry about being hounded by mentally unstable men in dresses for daring to suggest trooning out didn't fix all their problems. Some persist because it's the least difficult option, while others quietly drop it and disappear as best they can.

Add to that the fact that anyone who tries to study detrans rates gets harassed for troon wrongthink, and finding any sort of accurate picture is nearly impossible. I'm sure the rate is significantly higher than any study has mentioned, but there's so much bullshit surounding it that we may never know an exact number.
