OT, but that version of the Matthew Shepard story has been pretty much memory-holed. I honestly have no idea how accurate it is, but true or not I certainly don't expect even more credible sources than Brianna Wu to adopt it.

Eh... /r/politics was a default until around July 2013, so new accounts created before then were automatically subscribed to the subreddit. That would skew the numbers a lot.

The current active user counts (18,796 in /r/politics compared to 8,754 in /r/The_Donald right now) are probably going to be more representative of the demographics.
 
The person who was dragged behind a truck was James Byrd jr. Both crimes took place in 1998 and both did attract a lot of media coverage, and both later helped pass a federal hate crimes law. James Byrd jr. was targeted and killed for being African-American, by a group of skinheads.

According to sources, Brianna did try to keep GSK "pure" initially. She refused to hire very qualified male applicants for awhile early on because of her fetish but eventually relented after pressure from her team to get more skilled hands on board. Brianna repaid them with those bullshit contracts and erasing them (though that's probably a kindness).

It's funny to see Wu making such a fuss about workplace discrimination since she embraced it in her own company.

You're too kind, @The Nameless One. There's absolutely no doubt that everything about the story is fabricated. Flynt/Wu changing the oil in his car? Laughable. Flynt/Wu employing a man (or a woman) who attended Harvard? Ludicrous. Sneering at someone who changes their own oil? Sounds exactly like Flynt/Wu, who has never done an honest day's work in his entire life and can't even be bothered to use a dust rag, a broom or a vacuum cleaner.
