How many more national embarrassments like the moon rock story do you think it'll take for the democratic party to offer her some appointment in local government just so she'll sit down and shut the fuck up?

Nowhere near the most embarrassing thing a Democrat has ever said.

Wasn't it not hosted by Fox? Could just be a copyright issue.
Generally, a copyright strIke only takes down a specific video. It takes multiple instances for an account to be suspended unless automated harassment is used.

That said, rehosting news reports doesn't really hold water very well for 'enforcing copyright' as a strike for a video.

Asteroids, pushed into earth orbit gradually by ion engines, might be far more practical, as many of them have surfaces made of undiluted metals, because they once were part of larger planetesimals which were sufficiently massive to have a molten metal core. When breaking up during collisions, the metal cores became part of the surface of fragments.

They also have the advantage of not being in a gravity well (other than the Sun's), unlike rocks on the Moon. So you just take one of the numerous known large objects already on a near-collision course with Earth, and give it a small but very precise nudge to turn that into an actual collision course. You could even speed it up or slow it down a bit to pick which side of the planet it hits. And some of these rocks are already moving quite fast and have all the kinetic energy you'd really need to fuck shit up good.

This is still impractical for a number of reasons and we already have pretty good ways of fucking shit up available right down here already, but it doesn't have the inescapable dumbness and inefficiency of John's dumb idea.

It just doesn't make sense to mine the Moon or use it as a military base. Do we even need He-3 for anything? Not yet, but we might, I suppose. It's light enough, though, that it wouldn't justify the kind of rail gun shooting giant loads of metal that Heinlein considered.

Anyway, all the general public will hear when any politician whatsoever is talking about the Moon is that they sound fucking nuts, even if they're actually making a somewhat reasonable argument, like Newt Gingrich did.

Incidentally, this is one of the reasons you don't start campaigning this early in the election cycle, which a dumb amateur like John doesn't understand. All you're doing is generating more ammo to be used against you, and the only reason this Moon shit hasn't already ruined his campaign is that no doubt, he will say shit even dumber in the next two years.

I thought Wu lost all her backchannels by being a mean spirited lunatic?

I often wonder what the other part of the "backchannel", the one who does John's dirty work, gets out of it. There's nothing John could meaningfully do to repay anybody, and yet Twitter higherups are willing to bend over backwards to cater to the whims of a drama-magnet tranny who's obviously coming to them with dirty hands. He's also a complete shit in person, so friendship is out of the question.

In the GG thing I assume it was easy to take a "stand against harassment of women" by helping John because progressivism, but I wonder what these "backchannels" will do for a Congressional primary candidate? Wu's history is pretty germane to a lot of discussions (intern for conservative Republican Trent Lott, extremely privileged background, failure at university), but are Twitter still going to lock your account for saying Brianna is John Flynt?

Since the early days of space exploration, NASA and its rival agencies have suggested the Moon is a good jumping-off point for a manned expedition to other planets.

There's also the undoubted scientific value to long-term stays on the Moon. But I can't see it serving any kind of military purpose unless the world's power players feel like playing a giant, expensive, and thoroughly autistic game of king of the hill on a rock 250,000 miles away.

Lunar He-3 is too diluted to filter it out of the moon dust effectively. The atmospheres of Uranus and Neptune could suprisingly be more practical as sources of fusion fuel; it could be scooped up by some kinds of thermonuclear ramjets cruising around the gas giants (sometimes called ice giants due to having rather large ice-like cores) and sent to earth in canisters traveling on low-energy trajectories -- they'd need decades to get here, but if they are launched at a certain frequency, a steady supply chain could be set up (without the possibility of responding to sudden fluctuations in demand, of course).

But then, for energy production on earth, we already have tremendous amount of the fertile isotopes U238 and Th232 right on our planet. He3 will probably not be shipped to earth at all but rather used in situ in space: as fuel for advanced rockets.

They also have the advantage of not being in a gravity well (other than the Sun's)
It's always a mistake to discount the Sun's gravity well. The Sun is mankind's most crucial battleground - microscopic electrons dropped from the surface of the Sun can result in massive "solar storms" on Earth that interfere with satellite and radio communications. As your Shuttle Commander, I will send a manned mission to establish a base on the Sun's dark side, thereby cementing American space superiority for all time.

Wu's campaign is the best present Lynch could hope for. I don't know what his situation is regarding political capital, but anyone opposing his ambitions on any level is going to have to overcome the inevitable association with that crazy who has a little something for every shade of the political spectrum to hate. The tranny and SJW angles are an easy win for the Catholics and social conservatives. The privileged white boy is something for the left-wingers. His academic fraud will piss off the educated. His hubris and dishonesty rubs just about anyone the wrong way. Blowing over half a mil of other peoples' money should cover any stragglers.

The best part is how economical the deal is, your opponent's campaign ads and interviews are attack ads without any of the cost or baggage associated. It is a free lunch in every sense imaginable.

The privileged white boy is something for the left-wingers.

This would be true if the Left actually perceived Wu in this way at all. As far as they're concerned, Wu is the brave, strong woman in tech who courageously weathered harassment from literal Nazis.

Eh, his vitriol against gay men should serve just as well, or just toss out that he's worked with Crash Override Network and the pedophile Sarah Nyberg if you're not in the mood for a challenge. That's what's great about having Wu as a political opponent, he's a Swiss army knife of baggage that would have anyone look like the second coming by comparison.

one week he's a software engineer, then the next he's a hardware engineer..

bri has no idea of the difference..

The worst part about people like John is that they really water down the skill required to be either. A software engineer is not a hardware engineer, who is not a mechanical engineer. All three of these positions have a certain skill set that you're just not going to learn overnight - and to be considered professional in any of them you're going to dedicate a large part of your life to learning your craft and honing your skills.

It's really very insulting that John Flynt thinks he's both a software engineer and a hardware engineer, especially since he's never developed any software utilities, nor has he developed a microchip (or, for fucks sake, used an FPGA to develop any kind of logic circuit).

It's really sad to see someone so delusional. Then again, he pays his "employees" $1 and is a giant scumbag, so all of the empathy I had for this delusional beast went out the fucking window.

Epic tweeting bro

I'm sure that will get overwhelming bipartisan support.
