I apologize since this has probably already been answered, but what's the process for actually getting on the ballot for the primary? Does Brianna even know?

Any one who researched or was old enough during the bush years know otherwise

Btw, when he said his mentions were full of "Sarah Silverman" he must have been lying (shocking I know) because I scrolled through them and saw mostly George Takei and Lena Dunham. Maybe he blocked most of those people.

You know, like he does with everyone that makes a point.

I assume that if any of the procedures are being done correctly, John has recruited some sucker to do all the real work. Maybe even Frank, who has the basic skill at parsing legal documents to figure out what needs to be actually done, but is pretty unlikely to have the time to do stuff like going door to door to get a primary ballot petition filled with legitimate signatures. Stuff like that is where John is likely to fuck up and Lynch's people will get it thrown out.

Nobody wants to share a stage with some twitching psycho who looks like a malfunctioning animatronic.

It is a pretty good scheme to get your hands on free money, if you think about it:

Have a candidate who is destined to fail, but who will get a lot of donations from useful idiots all over the US (and even outside the US, if such can be accepted) then pump you money into everything you can claim as expenses. Pay yourself, buy a new PC you say you need for campaigning stuff, a second phone, new clothes etc. then put minimal effort in and when you are done refund as less donation money as possible.

Thanks, I figured there was some petition involved.

Reading back over posts I missed, I get the feeling Brianna doesn't even understand what a U.S. representative does. If she's passionate about improving Boston and public infrastructure/transportation, why isn't she going into state legislation? Congress doesn't care about the MBTA.

Well, if nothing else, it will be entertaining to watch this latest delusional venture crash and burn over the next year and a half.

What's everyone's bet for Brianna's new persona once Lynch curb stomps his political dreams?

Video is up.
hahaha holy shit the list of shit they want you to allow scripts from on that shithole
"browser-update"? oh yeah I'm letting that site in really quick.

Anybody got a mirror so I don't get whatever cancer they're selling?

Back to "journalism" probably. Lots of commentary that will start with "As someone who has run for office and knows the players..." or some stupid shit like that.

She has until June next year to get enough signatures (2000) to be on the ballot for the primary in September.

I've lurked here at KF for quit some time, but never managed to stumble across this thread. Wow. I had no idea who this person was up until reading the op, and following the links. Holy fuck balls. I shouldn't be surprised considering some of the other shit on the internet, but the extreme that this person was able to go to on mommy and daddy's dime is crazy. And now she is disowned (possibly) from them after she apparently traded their money for her, by comparison, pygmy looking husband. Good stuff.

My bet is on journalist/pundit Wu. That seems like a low effort "career" that doesn't involve leaving the house or showing a resume/references to anyone who would actually verify them.

Of course that was my bet last time too, I totally didn't see Ms. Wu Goes To Washington coming.

Going on her website, her entire premise boils down to "vote for me, I know tech things". Case in point:
img_5632-jpg.184931

From a few pages back, but this jumped out at me: "As a software engineer and technology analyst, Brianna Wu understands technology in a way no one else in Congress does"

Now...this is about 6 months old, but I according to the Congressional Research Service:

A closer look at the prior occupations and previously held public offices of Members of the House and Senate at the beginning of the 114th Congress, as listed in their CQ Roll Call Member Profiles, 8 also shows the following:

[snipped non-relevant occupations]

-one physicist, one microbiologist, one chemist, and eight engineers (all in the House, with the exception of one Senator who is an engineer);
-five software company executives in the House and two in the Senate;

So I'm guessing there's at least a couple of people with more direct technical knowledge than someone with one failed iOS game port to their name.

On the plus side for Wu, they also mention that 20 Members of the House have no educational degree beyond a high school diploma, so he wouldn't be alone there.

I can absolutely see this delusional troon as an MSNBC commentator. God knows they've got a few pundits that aren't too far from total cow status.

Brianna is almost desperately obsessed with being a "tech expert", so I'm gonna say her new persona will either be "tech journalist" or she'll try and teach a class on tech in a carpet community college while claiming she's teaching at Ol Miss or something.

I could see her trying to get into making documentaries for the Oscar pipe dream. Either that or she goes back to the well with the novelist career.

Yeah, about that "disowned" thing. . .

@Jaimas summed it up well in the Discord chat during our wilderness saga but Brianna was never officially disowned by her parents. Her parents told her to quit fucking around, get her shit together, and start being an adult. John, being John, got pissy and has been saying his "evil parents" cut him off ever since. Becoming Brianna wasn't even a factor in anything other than maybe for John to further distance himself from the already-impressive list of failures to his name (and to live out a creepy fetish).

I could see Wu trying to spin a defeat into him retiring or stepping back from politics or something and going back to political tech journalist Wu. He'll probably claim that the system is so corrupt he didn't want to be part of it, instead he wants to be an outsider that digs up the truth on political corruption and oppression and reveal how Gamergate is really keeping the dems from winning.
