It's gonna be a tough race.
Wu, as far as you're concerned, it's gonna be an impossible race.

Also, where the fuck did that laugh track come from at 0:39? And why wasn't it recurring throughout the interview?

Nothing yet on the NBC Boston/Brianna interview. I did find this from a few days ago though.

"working on some of the coolest mass effect technology youll ever see"

nigga what?

Her head is still not properly attached to the rest of her body, I see. It looks like she is constantly trying to chase eye floaters. Also, push that glassed up your nose, goddammit!

Some things from that video:
"We are one of the very few game studios who's majority are women."
:story:
"We are very happy about the kind of games we put up."
One game ha-ha-ha-ha!
Two g... mhh... Err....
One game ha-ha-ha-ha!
"Revolution 60 is not a perfect game."
Revolution 60 is also 'barely' a game.
"What I am so proud of: It is a game where every single role played by a woman."
Things Brianna Wu is apparently not proud of:
Game design, storytelling, graphics, sound, controls, being shipped bug-free and complete-able...
"...we have this real range of (game character) personality..."
Like every single shade from "snarky hero" to "snarky villain" has been covered successfully.
"There is never a shot that like lovingly frames their butt, ya know, the camera is always on their face..."
Untitled-1.jpg
Untitled-2.jpg
Untitled-3.jpg

Ya know, always!
"The story is always about their emotion."
Please note the singular here, she means probably "being snarky".
"(blah-blah mysoggyknee) ...it's starts in the classroom where boys are called on more..."
Even if that is true, it might have to do something that girls usually do better in school than boys and raise their hands less.
"Girls are put in these roles where WE compete with each other..."
:story:
"Really I never met a woman in the game industry that I think has an accurate portrayal of what her skill level is."
epic-story.jpg
" (running for congress) It was so hard for me to make this decision, 'cause I have worked 80-hour-weeks since 2010 building up my game studio... ->"
ultimate-story.jpg
"<- And we're in the middle of a huge expansion into VR and AR. ->"
this-is-not-even-my-final-form-story.jpg
"<- in some ways Revolution 60 was my whine in the dark, telling in the street 'Take me seriously'. Like look, I can deliver a quality game, look at this. This stuff works!"
I-have-no-words-story.jpg

Is she actually retarded? Like I know we've always joked about it but I honestly never thought that she was this fucking dense. Shame on me for having some (admittedly very low) expectations for a cow I guess.

Isn't Oculus Rift on the verge of bankruptcy after ZeniMax won their case for something like $400m? AR is all but a niche market being used more in art shows.

Also, I'm relearning JAVA and Unreal Engine and the "Hello" text you learn in your first day's class learning code in school is more of a game than Revolution 60. Though I will give it to him, he's still getting some sales despite not having Steam trading cards which could have helped a little with the sales.

They're not on the verge of bankruptcy as they're owned by facebook - but it's a pretty damning lawsuit and ZeniMax is allegedly trying to file an injunction to halt sales of the Rift. It would be pretty damaging to Oculus considering VR isn't a huge market and would shift buyers and developers over to the already-better product in the HTC Vive.

Why does no one question the lack of employees at gsx?

It would seem to be a reasonable question. Even if you do absolutely no research and take Wu at face value, you're faced with someone telling you that they're a "job creator" on one hand and on the other that they're willing to put all those people out of a job at the drop of a hat because you've suddenly got other priorities is something that ought to give any thinking person pause. It really wouldn't take many probing questions to get to the truth that no one worked at Giant Spacekat when it shut up shop last year and that the big expansion was all in Wu's head.

Also she goes on twitter and talks about how shady those contracts were. They weren't even employees, they were contract workers. There was no job retention available and there was certainly no promotion opportunities. They were only paid $1 on the books and "other valuable considerations".

She should also be careful about business stuff on the campaign trail - Trump was vilified for having a number of failed business ventures (despite many more successful ones). If I spent $1,000,000 on creating video game that resulted in a loss of $988,000 it would be my biggest secret.

He's also openly bragging about his parents spending $3k on computers every other year, buying him a PlayStation dev kit, giving him $250k to fuck around with an animation studio, etc.

Yes I'm sure voters in the 8th district want a silver spoon fed troon that lives in a fantasy world in his head.

One of the trade secrets injournalism is "you build them up, before you knock them down".

So the editorial decision isnt to out a no-body but to create a challenger that can then be outed.

For a congressional candidate interview, she sure spent a lot of time plugging her shitty game.

It's disgusting that Wu can say all that shit about GSK and no one ever asks a logical follow-up, like what will your employees do while you pursue this ambition, how many employees did GSK have, how were your employees classified, how many employees do you have, where is your office located, what did you do when a qualified man applied for a position with GSK, and so on. I mean, we know the answers to all of those important questions because we essentially do the job these clowns won't do anymore but, man, I don't get how you can get away with posting such shit on your site and think anyone is going to take you seriously after it.

Then again, I doubt Wu would even agree to an interview where she would get questions she didn't approve beforehand. She loves attention but she also hates it when she's in a vulnerable position.

It's a niche market yes, but so was video gaming in the early 80s. VR is gonna be huge sooner rather then later with tech on the pace it's on. Companies wanna make sure once the gold hits they have some piece of it, thats what the lawsuits are for.

I've got to believe that things are going to get better once we hit the actual campaign. Journalists may be lazy fucks, but once people from the Lynch side start talking to them about Brianna's supposed history as an entrepreneur, that's when they'll find their teeth and start at least googling some of the facts Wu alleges.

This fucking asshole will never get a decent interview and he is going to spend the next 2 years pretending to be a woman, a engineer, and a politician.

God, where to begin:

1. Wu is wearing the same drool-stain shirt from 2 years back....and it still has the same stain.

2. "Holodeck technology" is John's Moon Wheat / superior future

3. The social connection lies have never stopped. Early on in GG people commented on Wu's "I know every woman in the industry and we're all terrified!".....and that has now become: "I know all the POWER PLAYERS in the industry, and all the venture capitalists"......wut?

4. "Revolution 60 was always about getting to the next project"....*blah blah blah* ".....showing the industry that I could deliver a quality product..." uh......wut?

5. The "y'know"-s are flying fast and furious. John's nervous eyebrow ticking is out of control.

6. "Believe in yourself"? Really? If it wasn't for cliches and buzzwords, John would have nothing to say

With the cost of VR currently? No, it wont huge, couple that with how many people can actually handle VR too? AR will likely outpace it. Also, that lawsuit just proved that Oculus Rift was using hardware and software developed while at ZeniMax, nothing more.
