Am I the only one thinking we might be making rather a large assumption when we say he's looking for an "out"?

An "out" rather implies that he's going to announce he's no longer running.

I think a more likely scenario is he'll just get bored with the PolitiWu act as it's cutting into the mass effect time and gradually drop all mention of it in a few months, drawing down all mention over a several month span, without ever acknowledging that this is what is happening.

Kind of like how R60 was a flurry of activity followed by long periods of diddly squat, the difference being there's none of the accountability that promising an actual product for money over kickstarter entails (:lol:) so there's zero incentive to follow through and even fewer reasons for people to keep asking about it months, much less years, on.

...unlike with R60 which hung around his neck for years like a 50000 polygon scrote-crested albatross which he only finally decided to finish when put under significant pressure so he could kick it out the door unceremoniously and wash his hands of it.

Of course subsequent to dropping PolitiWu entirely he'll trot out his "broad political experience" and "as a woman who ran for public office" stories at talks he pays to make and nobody except the farms will call him out on it.

other then the usual tripe media no one is taking bri bri serious, and no doubt donations show that..

its just another fantasy wu , who like the intial attention but hates the actual work..

John kept milking all that shit long after it went into "Where's the game, John" territory. Here, he actually has a deadline two years into the future. For a hamster-minded individual like John, that's forever.

In 2018, we'll be saying "where's the campaign, John?" And the media will have completely ignored everything.

Xenon was the first Bally game to have speech and I can see why Wu likes it. The titular Xenon is a female AI and there's floating agender figures on the backglass.

I bet if she saw Bride of Pin*Bot or Red & Ted's Roadshow or Scared Stiff she'd try and make Pinballgate be a thing.

Its a fucking manual transmission not a NASA rocket. "off gas, clutch down, change gear, clutch up, on gas", there is nothing complicated about it. And manual transmissions are just better for controlling your car. If you drive it the proper way its faster than an automatic counterpart, and it can also be more economical.

There's a difference between a politician occasionally mentioning a hockey game and one who openly brags about spending half their day playing shitty mobile games.

Also yeah, politicians are expected to be good examples of their voters' preferred culture. And a lot of voters like sports and don't like video games.

Oh John honey, it's not just the constant stream of video game bullshit that makes you unprofessional (though it does play a part). There are plenty of politicians that openly enjoy games and there's nothing wrong with having any sort of hobby while being part of congress. The fact that you're going on about shit like installing arcade cabinets in your office and rambling about using your political power to fix the gaming industry is one of the many, many things you are doing to shoot yourself in the foot.
