I don't pretend to know why, but Frank's reputation seems like it's not in any danger. He's actually moved up to bigger and better jobs since John became a public laughingstock. Unless the Wus end up making some serious enemies with this political campaign, I think they'll continue to coast along on one very comfortable salary for the foreseeable future.

I showed various photos of Wu to a complete outsider a few weeks ago (including those ones). They don't know of Wu, know nothing of lolcows or KF but their reaction was, "I don't know why I can't look away. It's just like those videos showing an abcess being drained of pus. It's sick and disgusting, my insides shudder, but it's also weirdly fascinating."

YouTube, thats really it there's no where else to run it. If they're smart it's targeted to the district but I'm not even sure google lets ads really run this way. If they do the greater boston area is probably pretty expensive comparatively.
I really hope this thing is super negative, like 80% smear.

I've seen this before in a few professions but the most notable is music production. You'll know who is a bedroom producer who does little work, because they have to announce every time they're actually doing work. Its usually to re-assure the person making the statement.
The best comparison is when couples are on facebook, and feel the need to post up soppy shit to each other every 5 minutes. Despite kidding themselves or others, most of the time they're in a broken relationship which ends in a train wreck.

I legitimately have nothing against trans people but it's pretty fucking insane that Brianna doesn't acknowledge that she is a transwoman.
I understand there's a lot of stigma attached to that and etc and you might be afraid to "out" yourself as trans because of harassment and whatever else trans people are subject to, but Wu is already getting all that harassment anyway why even hold the charade? I also feel like if somebody cataloged every insult in this thread most would be about her being a complete fucking liar and borderline con artist and then probably general appearance attacks unrelated to passing / gender.

In that case, Frank letting Brianna make her own campaign video, instead of paying a professional to do that for her, is another hint that Frank is either truly a mad mastermind, who wants to see Brianna crash hard or he simply doesn't really give a shit what Brianna does.
While Brianna may be the poster-troon for the Dunning-Kruger-Effect, Frank is certainly not (except when it comes to his writing, I guess). No matter how thick his rose-colored glasses are, Frank should know by now that - without a fuckton of people doing things for her, and helping her out - Brianna is not just going to fail, but to make an ass out of herself in eyes of the wider public. And even with a fuckton of helpers and advisers, it is not guaranteed that she won't. At the moment Bri can still tell the 'press', that all the bad things you can find about her on the internet are GamerGate-lies. But once her escapades manage to hit the local newspapers in Boston, the entire area will laugh their asses off, when they see her on the streets.

Let's be clear here. Wu isn't getting any harassment that isn't 100% warranted and certainly not more for being trans. Wu is getting kickback precisely because he is an unbelievably self-absorbed, self-serving personification of Dunning-Wuger with a lack of talent matched only by his incredibly over-inflated sense of importance, credibility and capability. Note that this has absolutely nothing to do with being trans. He would still be a monstrous cunt even if he had never tried to make one out of his own meat and two veg.
What amazes me the most is how, despite being the most repulsive and charmless creature covered here, despite being so very obviously a man (and an absolute basket case of one at that), he seems to think he is somehow fooling anyone with a functioning eyeball.
It would take the average person all of 2 seconds to figure out the 'secret' before needing to look away to prevent their skin crawling off them.

Not her first time saying that, doesn't change the fact that no one on the planet has ever heard of the person who was employed to be a social media role for Brianna, including her "employees", co-workers, husband or people in the local tech community. You cannot find a single person walking the earth who will assert that Natalie O'Brien exists except for Brianna Wu. Frank Wu, Amanda Warner, Emma Clarkson her podcast hosts, none of them will say that this person exists.
They won't deny it either because that would be an obvious betrayal but they won't assert it either because they know better than to involve themselves in her financial bullshittery.
