This is gonna be the funniest damn thing ever if he seriously goes through with it.

It will also destroy any remaining pretensions of being able to bury shit. Even as a "game dev", Wu had just enough pull to get Twitter and Facebook to burn and pull down some embarrassing shit, but if he elevates himself to the public fora in this manner, he will look like he's got something to hide to an even bigger audience if he tries to bury any damning shit, and if he seriously tries to go against an actual politician, they will have much more clout to nullify any attempt John makes to bury his dirty laundry and saturate the public with it to the extent he'll become an even bigger laughing stock than he already is.

She's right on the mark with this stuff on how Wu is a narcissistic moron, and I'm willing to bet Randi will be willing to use her own pull to sabotage any attempt Wu makes to backchannel. Wu has even more enemies in his own crowd than he does outside of it, and they will likely do everything they can to fucking destroy his ass.

The CON team will never live down how Wu turned out to be one of their worst mistakes, and Randi tried and failed to keep the worst of this idiot's stupidity under wraps and openly hates his ass.

Short version, look forward to even people who otherwise would help Wu out of sheer spite teaming up with Wu's enemies to make this clusterfuck his most hilarious failure yet.

To reiterate, If Brianna Wu wants to be a Senator, she will have to beat Elizabeth Warren and then win against Curt Schilling, who has announced for the Senate seat in MA.

If she wants to be a rep, I believe she has to run in her district, namely against Katherine Clark to get the Democratic nomination and win against the Republican opponent.

Other than that, she has a giant uphill battle.

Michael Capuano who is a beloved representative.

Joseph Kennedy who is a Kennedy and a student of Warren.

Seth Moulton, a war veteran.

I still want her to run because I want her to lose badly and watch the debates. Oh you don't know? Brianna might have to debate to win the nomination and to win the seat. Please correct me on this because this happened for Warren and Markey's seats.

I want to watch with popcorn because this will be a shitshow like no other and it will be the funniest shit.

I can't tell if the backers roped in are rubes or if this was an organized effort to put pressure on the issue of "people making fun of me on the Internet."
If the former, then the inevitable abandonment of the project by Wu will make them look like idiots. If the latter, then I am curious how they wind this down without losing face.

MA is not small time politics, and Wu will get chewed up. Wu is a serial liar, turns into a complete spaz when put under any kind of pressure, possesses little knowledge on any subject, and was a Republican supporter of a segregationist dog whistler. In response to any kind of campaign pressure Wu will react like a complete mental patient, and there's no "my opponent is harassing me on [every medium] by exposing the things I've said and done to the public for scrutiny" in politics.

@Gonk took one for the team and listened to Wu's godawful podcast - apparently John wants to run against Stephen Lynch for a U.S. House seat.

American politics in general is a blood sport and Massachusetts is more socially conservative than BriannaJohnWu thinks. Her crash-and-burn campaign will be a many-splendored thing to behold.
 
Her former allies will sabotage her with her own fiction. She either has to openly admit she's trans or be savaged for being a "privileged white, middle class woman" appropriating minority issues.

Everywhere is, really. Even the standard (pre-identity-politics) version of the Democratic platform really only becomes a winner once you get into cities. Wu's target audience - the kind of people who unquestioningly support the full menu of SJW nonsense - you'll only find in the most stereotypical college Gender Studies departments.
 
This will be the most telling of Brianna's knowledge of Massachusetts. She tends to forget that there is a huge part of the Greater Boston Area that is blue collar and no bullshit. The area Stephen Lynch represents is mostly the South Shore which is more moderate than Boston proper. Since Brianna has a car and lives in Arlington, she never has gone to the South Shore areas. She fucks around in the Cambridge-Somerville-Watertown Area.

I don't understand why of all people she would go after Lynch. She at least have a chance with Clark. At least run for Boston City Council!

They don't consider Wu that, I'm sure. I think they're just afraid that someone ELSE will consider her that and try to shut KiA down. It's already been shown before that the modstaff has a blatant bias against them.
