That would be the best case scenario, since if Wu looks like a real candidate then all the dirt on him becomes an important story. Mostly I want to see professional opposition researchers dig in to Wu to see if they find anything the Farms missed.

Wu's not even going to have to think about a campaign strategy. Some other new shiny thing will come along and she'll be off down another yellow brick road long before nominations even open.

"Unprecedentedly experienced"? She was a senator for a little while and secstate. All but a few presidents have had at least as much experience as her, some had far, far more.

Brianna's run for political office will probably be the new Revolution 60 for PC -- it will happen when the sun leaves the main sequence and starts expanding.

And even in the unlikely event of her pulling this through -- just imagine how Brianna would be in any serious political debate.

As other's have mentioned. Raising more than $5000 means you must register with FEC. Other events which require a FEC registration include:
  • "Make or authorize statements that refer to themselves as candidates (“Smith in 2012” or “Smith for Senate”)"
  • "Use general public political advertising to publicize their intention to campaign;"
I would say that posting an ad on Twitter and publicly referring to your "campaign" probably qualify as the above.

He's going nowhere. The last Dem that tried to dump him got the Boston Globe to endorse his run and still only marginally outpreformed your average Massachusetts Republican.

Massachusetts is liberal in general and the 8th district has some extremely liberal towns. This does not change the fact that only old people vote in mid-terms, and old people will not support an abomination.
