John babbles away about "medical pathway" being a so called reasonable middle ground, but it really isn't because that is an undefined vague and ambigous term and a parenson could be literally anywhere on a massive spectrum and still be on "a medical pathway"

'Medical pathway' is Wu's new 'backchannel discussions'. Textbook usage of a dog whistle, he'll throw it in everywhere without ever explicating his meaning.

He seems to be under the illusion that he’s better than the other troons, like he can be out as trans and still be the super-special woman in tech who’s not like the other girls. Like he can be a woman with male personality traits and interests and not have people see that as his natural masculinity. Like he can do women-in-tech events without the attendees secretly thinking, “Yeah, but that’s not really a woman in tech.”

In reality, all that separates him from the rest of the creepy perverts is that he married a homosexual man with a lot of money.

I admit..I really love Johnny boy's slogans and buzzwords he'll use ad nauseum for a bit, often get discredited, then move onto the next one.

One of my faves:
Remember a year or two ago when one of his go-tos was he 'solders to NASA standards' (he got that from a YT tutorial that was going around)
until people fired back
A) no he wasn't
B) crimping (there's also a NASA standard for that) is usually the preferred method for automotive applications

Lately is his obsession with the phrase "public policy" which he inserts into commentary that has nothing to do with public policy.

It strikes me as odd that Wu sees himself as a "public policy" savant when he has no relevant qualifications or experience. He has never held public offiice. He has never held a position of public trust. He does not have a degree in poli sci or an MPA. The most he has done is run two failed campaigns that didn't make it to primary and launder money for Cenk Uygur.

So JWF? govt policy? company policy? personal policy?

he uses it a lot to say he doesn't care about culture wars (rewind the last decade+) ..he cares about "policy".
but he's too dim to recognize that policy is an implementation of something...like cultural norms and mores
come to think of it,John said being a woman is a "philosophical question" that he doesn't do well with (that's a shock) -- so if we are making "policy" decisions about women...well then...we're back to that culture war and philosophy
