Really shows John's understanding of feminism is cursory at best. You know just like every other subject he claims to be amazing at (journalism, engineering, game development)

JesuOtaku turned out crazy, but was also crazy to start so i don't know how that relates.

As for the Gears shit, if you're playing a female character, you're likely fighting the new Eldritch Horrors that the game created because Epic really just wants to make "Lovecraft the Shooter". Gender is not exactly something the Locust/whatever you're fighting give a shit about.

Wu's understanding of feminism has always come across as a caricature. Voyager is her favourite Star Trek show simply because Janeway's a female captain, even though a lot of geek feminists realise it's a shitty show. Hillary is her choice for president simply because she's a woman even though most feminists/SJWs recognised Sanders was the better progressive candidate.

Bang on. If John ever found himself in genuine danger, like an earthquake or a terrorist attack or something, I wonder how he'd react to someone misgendering him. He's the only person I've seen who has the right blend of staggering naivety/lack of street smarts and being mindblowingly self-centred that he probably would start to bitch and snarl about it despite being in a highly precarious situation.

I can just imagine a firefighter coming to save John from a burning building (presumably Frank torched the place) screaming 'Sir, I need you to get down from there as quickly as possible before the building....'

John channels Crash and interrupting, barks back 'Did you just fucking mansplain and misgender me you...'
John is then interrupted himself by the whole house going up in a huge explosion.

Minutes later and a full half mile away, a smoking mangina flutters back to the ground. It hits the tarmac with a damp squelch. Rocket, who had the presence of mind to escape the inferno, runs up to the singed ring of flesh, promptly eats it and then continues on his way.

This just goes to show how privileged Brianna Wu really is. While she's got her rich husbando to sponge off of and to underwrite her many failures and actually has reason to need the services of an investment banker, your average transperson is probably stuck in a shit job like most people and having not only to deal with the stresses of day to day life but also struggling with their gender identity and suchlike.

Just because you get paranoid when someone is standing behind you (like *I* do) does not make them abusive. I would assume this paranoia has something to do with "I can't see them if they pull out a knife and backstab me for x6 damage", because fight-or-flight is a thing.
