Okay, @Jaimas has spent innumerable hours working on the BWu article, which has paid off. The Lolcow Wiki article is just shy of being as long as Wikipedia's main article on Adolf Hitler, and it's the FOURTH most prominent neutral google result for her name, above fucking brietbart and just below her own personal website. That to me is absolutely staggering.

But I think Jaimas needs some help, especially with 1) structure, 2) reduction of fluff, 3) neutrality of tone. I'll give you an example. I've cleaned up the very first paragraph of the article as an example.

I did the following.

1. Tried to hit as many points as possible to give people an understanding of who this person is without fine tooth combing it. To me, the most significant element is not that Brianna Wu tweets a lot, it's that she involves herself in drama. The best example of that IMO is how she wrangled a cripple into the national spotlight to accuse him for being some sort of cyber terrorist. That's pretty fucking amazing.

2. Reduced fluff. Every word serves a purpose. There's a lot of purely editorial issues, probably because Jaimas writes so much information that he doesn't really have time to properly spruce up text. The best example of this in what I've given is the "by-all-accounts". Not only does that phrase mean literally nothing from an objective standpoint, it appears twice in consecutive sentences (which is poor writing), and it's also inconsistent. The first instance is hyphenated, the second is not.

3. I tried to remove bias as much as possible. Lolcow Wiki should be fairly neutral. Sarcasm quotes, direct insults, etc all betray the trust of the reader. No one doing a casual google search for Brianna Wu who finds this article is going to read past the first paragraph or even skim through the rest of the article because they're going to assume it's written by someone with a grudge. If you really want to harm someone with a LCW article, you do it by being honest, straightforward, and sincere. It's an encyclopedia of failures, not ED.

But furthermore the rest of the summary area is preposterously gargantuan.

Adolf Hitler: http://i.imgur.com/Ql6fcvi.png
Brianna Wu: http://i.imgur.com/mqlSGVp.png

Literally, the introductory area for Adolf Hitler is smaller than Wu's. I know for a fucking fact that Wu is not as accomplished as Mein Furhrer and I find this insulting. A summary should be just that: a summary. "Wu did this, and this, and this." It should be 3, 4 paragraphs tops for someone like Brianna Wu.

And finally, please, turn all the [[pipelining|sentences which are entirely contained within pipelines to citations]]. When your comment is a link to something else on the wiki, that isn't a link. A link is saying [[Adolf Hitler|Chancellor of Germany during World War II]] -- you're linking to something. When you are citing an entire stated fact, you want to use proper references.

I mean honestly, there's tons of interest in this thread right now and in BWu right now because of the game. There's a ton of information in that article but that's the problem. It reads like a brick and Jaimas really enjoys garnish and superfluous in writing -- which works great for a forum post or short story, not so much for an encyclopedia.

But Ralph's not up very high to begin with. Wu always takes the lazy option. *sigh*

Wu is STILL mad at Ralph, more than a year later, for him showing up to one of her talks. She knew he was ther because he posted about it on twitter and Wu couldn't keep off her phone and saw it and had him ejected.

For any kiwis that want to make drastic changes to this game such as cutting down on bloat, optimization, texture/model replacements, might I offer a suggestion?

Release an installer that automatically does cleanup and replaces the files that need replacing. That way anyone who has the game can just let it run and the existing torrent can be autopatched.

I initially thought that it was Wu, the use of gorgeous seemed like a dead give away, Wu has used that to describe R60 before. Still possible Wu wrote the review for him.

Has anyone ever tried to track down the supposed editor John lists at the end of the Election Eve document, "Harry McNally", email address given Q_tip84@hotmail.com?

I can't imagine John having IRL friends, so it might be another MiLovy, but if he's real....

WOW. Think of the possibilities for a source on pre-SRS John.

Frank's been at it again today, shitposting this time. Over the the last few days I think he's proven he knows how to roll with shit and interact with others on twitter 1000 times better than Wu ever could, no wonder Wu wanted to water balloon him today.
She's passive-aggressively venting on Twitter because Frank forced her to do something she didn't want to do and it's painfully obvious. Whenever Brianna feels threatened, she likes to make comments like this to keep her delusion that she's in control intact.

I can't help but wonder if Brianna Wu / John Flynt is narcissistic enough to think that X Files writers were trolling him with the recent season's Babylon episode.

I know this has been brought up, but lets look at the market impact of Revolution 60;

Here's our baseline;
Rev60.png

Pretty shitty, right? its getting annihilated by Bad Rats, a game commonly gifted as an ironic/white-Elephant gesture. It's lost a lot of it's notoriety after steam made it possible to delete games from your library, but apparently has some dedicated playbase, seen below:

Wu should take some solace, however...her game does have more players...than a Vr game where you play as a cockroach.

I believe it's worth mentioning that the Cockroach game is unplayable to probably 90% of steams users, given it's VR nature.
It, and Bad Rats, also have much better reviews:story:

This is just me being whimsical, I seriously doubt any of us have the dedicated :autism: to do this, but what would happen if we took R60, fixed it to be actually playable, removed all the exceptional bullshit, optimized the shit out of it, added in all sorts of graphics of our own, then released the finished, optimized R60: Deagle Edition for free?

Anyone think it would be worth it just to watch John chimp?

What you just described is impossible. If we removed all the retarded bullshit, all we'd have left is maybe 2 lines of code.

speaking of which, how does her game hold up compared to the infamous Digital Homicide games?

Unlike them and bad rats which have a huge reputation for being bad, Wu's game is so unironically bad it will be hard for it to discern itself from the mountains of other amateur steam shovelware and probably won't even be gifted as a joke

Answer: Not good!
In all honesty, the only way for Revolution 60 to have anything resembling success would be to get in the joke gift market. I bet whenever it starts going on sale(if Wu's Ego allows it to) you'll see a big bump, especially if it gets under $5, which I bet it will by Christmas, if not the next Summer sale. Revolution 60 has a lot more history than most steam shovelware, though you'd have to know about Gamergate to really understand that.

I'd be more worried that judging by the player numbers, a lot of people haven't played their kickstarter copies, which they waited two years to get. Flynt alienated the only true-and-honest playerbase he had.

That's because the vast majority of the backers don't like or play vidya. They donated as a political/fashion statement to prove how progressive they were.
