He talks like he's from the 1930's not the 1980-90's. His generation was watching TV (and using computers, as John often points out) and kids today love driving just as much. This is all aside from the fact that most kids, especially poor Black kids in the South like John, aren't being handed a fucking 2024 Corvette as their first car.
