Let's leave that aside and consider the implausibility of John holding right-wing beliefs while he was going through the trooning-out process. That doesn't seem likely. The same people that were encouraging John online to become the beautiful laydee that he is today were undoubtedly yammering far-leftist indoctrination at him during the same timeframe. John's really not very bright, so I doubt he even realized that his indoctrination on politics and tranny shit was all coming from the same source: ugly men in dresses, online, in echo chambers. And they weren't 'gently pushing back against his right-wing beliefs' because that's not how they operate. It was undoubtedly more like 'this is what you have to believe to be part of the group', otherwise you are shunned. Because it always is.

Not really, because he's still excusing the Dahl censorship as a good thing. You don't just pick and choose which authors are okay to give the Ministry of Truth treatment, because if you decide it's okay for one, then someone else can use that to justify rewriting another.

Either it's always okay to rewrite established works, or it never is. There is no in-between.

Anything Wu says or does is to fulfill one goal - to be the coolest girl on the block. Despite trying so hard to present as a woman he has zero feminine interests except when establishing his backstory as a girl trying to change the gaming industry, that is, playing as Princess Peach. His entire belief system, political or otherwise, is based on how he can present himself as the authority on women's issues, or really any issue. To that end it is more beneficial to be left-wing, but he only truly believes in what can benefit him regardless of the political spectrum.

He is the epitome this subforum's description: “Being a trans woman isn't about trying to imitate women. It's about trying to be better than women.” Or to put it in a way Wu would appreciate, he started a game in normal difficulty and couldn't even beat the first boss, so he switched to casual mode.

but in John's defense "Heinlien" is a more obscure author of a screen adaptation of the lesser known The Handmaiden's* Tale starring Cara Gee...or one of those...they all look alike to John

Not only can John not spell the name of his favorite author, but his statement that Heinlein's works were published the the '50s and '60s leaves out three decades in which REH published major works -- the '40s, '70s and '80s. I think it's safe to conclude that Cool Girl John's familiarity with his favorite author is limited to half listening to an audiobook of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.
