Christ, John always pulls this schtick whenever anyone pushes back on an absurd claim he makes. He says something inflammatory and probably incorrect ("Hans Christian Andersen was totally a queermosexual!"), a reasonable individual contradicts him politely ("uh, you sure? because that's not what scholars of the man say"), John argues from a perceived place of authority ("yeah well my source is also from a smart person and not just something I pulled out of my ass!"), the individual asks for clarification ("okay, what source? because I'm quoting from the literal center that studies HCA and his works"), and then John goes on a tirade accusing the other of mansplaining ("DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM, I AM THE GODZILLA OF TECH FEMINISM BRIANNA WU").

In other words, this is how to make yourself look like an absolute ass when talking to someone. Not once did Olof here call John stupid, he merely suggested that the internet could be (shock and horror!) wrong about something. And instead of providing sources to his bullshit because there aren't any, John deflected with his usual screeching about how women are treated online. I'm surprised he didn't mention Gamergate.

Why does he think the Goldeneye remaster will require you to use Nintendo 64 controllers in a single layout rather than having modern standards and likely a multitude of options for the controls?

The original game even supported dual analog controls (as does Perfect Dark), random YouTube video I found where you can see the actual controllers to confirm:

If I’m going to play goldeneye, I need the N64 Controller, a bottle of Captain Morgan’s and pack of Marlboro Lights. That’s how we did it in college and that’s how it should be done today.

1. Back in the day I remember playing GoldenEye and Perfect Dark with two controllers. It works but in practice was cumbersome and you were way better off aiming with R1+analog.

2. Now I can play N64 games on emulator using an Xbox One controller and it also works. But none of the games were designed to be played with two analogs so again I just use R1 most of the time.
 
I think the issue was in Desantis lying to them about the destination being Boston, and then not telling anyone at Martha's Vinyard about the arrival. You know, so they could actually make preparations. The refugees have to be at an immigration court in 14 days, and there aren't any on the island.

It's kind of a douche move but hardly life-ruining in that the Martha's Vineyard residents appear entirely willing to cough up the less than $10 to send them on their way on the ferry that goes back and forth every couple hours, after comparing them to garbage dumped on other people's property.
