There's no nostalgic callbacks? The main characters are Pike, Spock, Christine Chapel, Uhura, Number One and a relative of Khan. Kirk's brother is on it and they've already confirmed Kirk himself.

The show does seem to be favorably received so far but I've seen a lot of "compared to Discovery, Picard, etc." in that talk.

Sorting through the bullshit I can report these very credible facts:
- John owns FF13 and have played all chapters of the game.
- There is a dusty treadmill of constantly fluctuating value in his possession.
- He never got the platinum, he stopped at 2/3rds of the way there.
