I'm no Tesla fanboy; hell, I think EVs in general are pretty stupid and nowhere near as beneficial as their (sometimes fanatical) devotees claim. But I can't deny that Tesla has done a lot to push the concept of EVs forward, and I'm even starting to notice a few in my unclean red state.
That said, calling Tesla "the fast food of EVs" is about the dumbest take I can imagine, so no surprise it's coming from John. Please tell me about your Porsches again, you're really relatable every time you brag about them.

Apologies if it was mentioned already but Katie Herzog casually mentioned that Brianna Wu was a “trans woman” on the Blocked and Reported podcast a week or so ago, which was pretty funny. I don’t think it was malicious, I think she just forgot that Brianna is not out.

John showing his privilege yet again. Most people don’t need a Porsche and couldn’t afford one if they wanted it. What most people need a car for is getting around. It’s a tool to live your life. Style is less of a priority than affordability, reliability and practicality. With that as your market, “the fast food of EVs” is not quite the insult I-Collect-Porsches thinks it is. Actually, it sounds like a pretty shrewd strategy.
I’m no Musk fanboy and I have reservations about EVs (what do we do with all those heavy metals when the cars are scrapped?), but it can’t be denied that electric vehicles have made greater leaps towards mainstream acceptance in the last few years than they have in a century.
