John is right that Tesla is trash, but he is not looking at anything besides "elon musk is hitler because he will allow people to criticize stunning and brave trannies on twitter".

But this is the guy whose smart business point was worrying about Musk hurting the stock price while/after takes Twitter private and said that Peloton was undervalued in Jan 22 when the price per share was 66% higher than it is now.

John is too busy being the executive leader of a PAC that is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars* getting progressive's elected by... uhhh.... producing ads that have a very "intro to video editing" aesthetic.

*may not actually be hundreds of thousands of dollars

It's hearken, not harken, you illiterate sped. And your use of cutteth as the third person plural shows that thou art a gormless hack. (The th suffix was only used in third person singular.)

I'm going to have to disagree because this word originated in OE and has been spelled differently by different writers. Even Shakespeare spelled it "harken" in Much Ado, although the prevailing spelling is "hearken," as De Quincey and Johnson generally spelt it. Specifically "Harken after their offense my lord." Incidentally, Shakespeare also spelled it "hearken" sometimes.

It was spelled in an enormous variety of ways, even if "hearken" has the majority representation.

John is still an illiterate sped of course.

What's hilarious is that what's probably hurting Peloton the most: having to sell a customer not only a luxury, overpriced piece of hardware, but depending on them to pay for a luxury, overpriced subscription to all their classes. From the NYT:

"Becoming a member of the Peloton pack is an investment: roughly $2,000 for the first year and nearly $500 each year thereafter. And that’s for the base model."
"Once you purchase the Bike itself, you need to keep paying a $39 monthly subscription fee, or you’re left with just three classes and a free-ride mode that displays only real-time data on the screen, with no leaderboard-inspired competition or any record of your efforts."

I can get a second-hand spinning bike from my local ads for <$200, and put shit on my TV if I need to. A bike over $1000 and a subscription that's more expensive that Spotify and Netflix combined aren't going to be normie-fuel when times are tough and the "forgetting about my gym membership" thing is already well-documented. Especially since competition is a network effect thing, you'd need your friends to make a $2500+ investment too.

That kind of investment isn't something that anything but Silicon Valley/New York rich people think is something to just jump into, especially when people are doing hiking outdoors a lot more now.

All true. But in American English, heark or hearken is the preferred spelling for the meaning "listen up, bitches." Hark is usually limited to the phrase "hark back."
