I wanna say "this never happened" but I've genuinely had similar experiences. Although, I doubt John is competely free of guilt here.
I dunno if Johns current address is accurate, but why would he take the highway to go to the RMV unless he is going way out of his way.

it's not just "some asshole" and, just coincidentally, the driver wasn't in a German sportscar (nobody has ever gotten into it with a German sportcar driver...they are never ever self-important) but was in the kind of vehicle John harps on hating
and, like others have said, it's across how many lanes? and the guy just hated women...across all those lanes??

John did go through the proper channels to have his name changed, it's just that he left his middle name as the very feminine "Walker" for some reason. Whether it was due to incompetence, laziness, or simply because he couldn't think of a second name to lift from his past (IIRC he had a crush on a guy named Brian in college, which is where Brianna comes from), Brianna Walker Wu is his current legal name.
