Not gonna lie, Gamergate was one of the more fun times to be on the internet, living through it was insane. I remember even being in a chatroom with Zoe Quinn's ex Eron and he was being grilled by all these people on what exactly happened. Someone even pretended to be a Lawyer and said he could help Eron out, managed to get into the DMs with him. /pol/ getting involved after a few days didn't help and the images with Reddit riding /v/'s shoulder was the nail in the coffin for most people originally involved, it turned into something completely different and became more like a pipeline to SJW Owned Compilations. Feels like a fever dream nowadays. I imagine this is going to be fictionalised to death and that is what Gamergate will become in the eyes of most people when really it was just a bunch of pissed off /v/irgins trying to fuck with useless game journalists.Yeah, I just saw this. All I can say is "Here we fucking go again."

Revolution 62This should be hilarious, Wu never finishes or follows through on anything.
These questions don't even need to be asked. We already know what their going to cover. Brianna will be a faultless din-du-nuffin angle who is being attacked by slanderous trolls. And these trolls will be evil "right winged conservative Neo Nazi white supremacist extremist bigots."Wonder if this will catalogue the multiple documented cases of gamergate ‘victims’ bullying themselves anonymously then going crying to the media (which Brianna was shown to have done himself)?
Wonder if it’ll cover Zoe Quinn’s orchestrated attacks from her legion of simps on Candace Owens’ ‘Social Autopsy’ project, which had proven that most harassment being received by anti-gamergaters was originating from their own side?
Wonder if it’ll feature Wu’s poor pet dog, who unfortunately died of ‘brain inflammation’ after she left it locked outside without food, water or shelter on a harsh winter night?
Wonder if it’ll feature Brianna’s tweets and Facebook posts made from his home, about being driven from home by death threats?
Wonder if it’ll feature Brianna getting caught changing his Steam username then asking if ’Brianna Wu is a horrible person’ in the Revolution 60 discussions?
Mostly I hope it’ll focus on Brianna himself and end with a stool, a step up and a sturdy rope slung from a roof beam.
No, the big ones are Sony, Square Enix, EA, CD Projekt Red, konami.... there are probably over a thousand triple A titles but those are the most notable. Even ones that aren't even heard of as much anymore like naughty dog are more famous. Is Mind Riot even a popular company?
You could make an entertaining parody out of it.Anyone care to fanfic how a Gamergate TV series would actually work? I'm struggling, maybe I'm not a good enough writer. It's difficult to envision how you milk drama out of people writing insulting twitter messages without tremendous, elephantine helpings of ham a la SVU. If you aren't going have to have Zoe Sarkeesian PG-13 raped in a bathroom stall by Logan Paul, what exactly is going to happen?
About the only thing I can come up with is some kind of Constant Gardener type thing where our Brianna Wu Mary Sue discovers that all her incredibly good friends getting PTSD inducing mean tweets on the internet and then killing themselves is actually a wheels within wheels conspiracy to elect Ronald Frump president.
"Feminist melodrama about death threats"Yeah, I just saw this. All I can say is "Here we fucking go again."

All I can say is "Here we fucking go again."

You know what, I think you're right. I think this is just an attention-seeking move, a marketing ploy to get the name of the company out into the public. I searched up their names and almost all the search result is about the Gamergate "series". Have a feeling John is used by this companyOk niggers. Let me explain how this Gamer Gate "TV Show" works.
@Had already did the necessary basic research
Mind Riot has produced one woke TV pilot in 2019, has an unfinished/unsold documentary about the Seatle Seahawks. Going from their website, they are a bitch-firm - they scramble for tiny scraps from bigger companies.
Channels will green-light a few dozen pilots every year - get a premise, get a cast, shoot an episode, and hope it impresses enough there will be more. Some studios will self-finance a pilot, which is what Mind Riot looks like they are doing.
So what you do when you're mind riot, where you are floundering about obscurity, is you find something that will get you buzz. And that buzz is gamer gate.
On the face, its not a bad idea. Its been 8 years but people on both sides still froth and rage when its brought up. But also that no one is competing, you don't have to worry about another studio beating you to the punch or doing it better. I mean, this cause this thread to move like 10 pages. You'll get lots of attention and shares, and you can probably use that to sell the project for a nice payday.
So when they say "TV series" Wu is most likely getting brought in to "consult on the pilot" because it'll get eyeballs being John won't shut the fuck up about gamergate ever. If for some godforsaken reason this is picked up by a network, John will either be dropped from the project or sidelined, maybe given a token 3-hour a month consultant fee to Skype about his experiences with gamergate as a way to keep him docile.
But this "tv show" is almost certainly a one-and-done pilot.
This is the thing of it. They all live such easy lives that this is the closest they've ever come to a 'struggle'. They have no frame of reference for hardship. So the one time in their lives when they actually feel a sense of discomfort they're not ready for it. To them it feels like the world is ending because they have never had to deal with ANYTHING else.Babies were born, old men passed away peacefully in their sleep, wars were started and ended, empires collapsed, couples became families, boys became men, the whole world changed this past decade.
But the most eventful thing in these people's lives, STILL, is the time they lost a Twitter flame war despite having every institutional advantage.
