Has she started posting orb photos yet? That joke is so far its expiration date, the microbes growing on it have evolved into famous bipeds like Charles Dickenson.

Wu's now a "public figure" and a "politician" though. She lost the right to privacy in public with her stupid attention seeking and doesn't even realize it. Can you imagine Stephen Lynch throwing a twitter bitchfit because someone took a picture of him at the airport? Or Mark Zuckerberg? Or, shit, I don't know, even Billy Mays when he was alive. People gawk at celebrities and her victim narrative completely falls apart when she's now supposed to be on the campaign trail.

Like all things, Wu hasn't thought through the ramifications of any of her actions and how they might effect her narrative.

The rules that would apply to most people do not apply to Brianna. She's a highly talented sociopath who knows exactly how to spin her victim narrative. She calls herself a public figure all the time, but she still manages to garner sympathy as a harassed woman. She is the champion of having her cake and eating it too. Maybe that's what's on her dress?

I don't think she's even good at being a sociopath. There are so many holes in her narrative and she messes up basic stuff so frequently that the only reason she hasn't been called out by anyone important is because people are genuinely terrified of the possible repercussions of doing so.

She's just lucky that she's doing her thing in a time where everybody is shit scared of offending anybody or facing the wrath of the internet outrage machine.

Maybe people is watching it because it is not a feminist cash grab like Ghostbuster was

I think the only thing that really annoys me, is this borderline-fetishistic sperging over Wonder Woman that you see in folks like Brianna, or Wonder Woman Toy Diddler Andrew Dobson. They treat this movie almost like the second coming of feminist, lesbian Christ, while ignoring that Wonder Woman was always the best known female superhero, the first one, and created by a guy with a pretty obvious bondage kink.

When I get around watching the movie, I really need to forget about the Briannas and Dobbys. They are a greater annoyance than any straight, white, cis male dude bro could ever be.

Don't worry the ironic part is that the movie was not made TO CATER THEM and it was a success, Ghostbuster was made to cater them and we all know how that ended, but alas the irony of this flyed over their heads, is easy to call a victory in something that doesn't have ANYTHING to do with you

If this were the early 2000 i'm pretty sure John and Dobbie would have praised series like Birds of prey or that awful movie of Catwoman just because it caters their fetishes

John's modus operandi actually doesn't depend very much on the times we live in. It's always been possible for a determined individual to harass someone out of a job and social standing. What's singular about the Flynt case is that there's no mutually assured destruction - John can act with impunity because he has no job or social standing of his own to imperil. (See also: Vordrak)
What we're seeing is really the perfect storm - a man with money but no job, connections but no social circle, an audience but no message, and the sheer pettiness to spend his unlimited time escalating internet fights to scorched-earth levels.

I decided to Google this to see if she'd commented on Catwoman at all because it's so easy finding hilarious cringe from her. Instead, I found this truly special LiveJournal entry in which our beloved Brianna talks about how she's probably a superheroine herself. As usual, she makes up a friend in order to make up a conversation just so that she can discuss something she's been dying to say to people.

"I had an interesting conversation with one of my best friends today. ... Her main complaint was that comic books have unrealistic body types that are impossible for women to attain. I mean, after all, how many women do you know that are six feet tall, impossibly thin with DD boobs? That's when I realized, that pretty much describes me - except for the DD boobs part."

Jesus Christ.

More cringe in the comments from Frank. "I am so jumping off a building right now so you can run over here really fast with your superspeed and catch me."

From the last comment:
I don't agree that Wonder Woman, the Themyscarian, has redeeming qualities. I think it's good to have brunette superheroes - but she just always looks so dated to me.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I don't know how these people go on about the extraordinary height of 6 foot in women. It may be above average, but it is not sooooo rare. At least I knew several women of that height and even build. And no, Brianna was not among them. Okay, maybe to know this, you might have to hang around women. As already pointed out on many occasions, I am rather convinced that she inspired Junji Ito.

connections but no social circle
This is what confuses me the most about the Wu/Flynt case: What on earth do these connections gain from helping this abomination of a human being? What is in it for them?

I'm not talking about the internet crowd here as that's obviously a symbiotic relationship where everyone benefits somehow from supporting each other's behaviours. I mean the IRL high society and political connections that Brianna somehow has.

"Brianna Wu" still has lingering cachet from the GamerGate days as a harassment victim, Brave Woman in Tech, and now as a Congressional candidate in the Dark Age of Trump. It's kind of an Emperor's New Clothes situation -- assholes like us can take one look at John and see he's an incompetent scam artist, but that doesn't stop outlets that should know better like the New York Times Magazine from mentioning him in articles about up-and-coming young politicians as if his campaign were anything but a sick joke. It's not much to latch on to, but it's something.

Optimistically, I still think a meltdown is coming, because ultimately John brings nothing to the table. Maybe once the campaign flames out, especially if it does so in spectacular fashion.

So Brianna dressed up as WW is one of their kinks?

Seriously. Even her "team" abandoned her mostly in silence. Amanda Warner animated the whole game and Maria Enderton programmed everything. Enderton probably refused to help Brianna with the Steam port to the game because she was sick of not getting paid and working for a narcissist. Instead of publicly blasting her she just let her drown in her own ego. Hence the broken game and no further mentions of it.

I think Brianna is a good sociopath insofar as manipulation goes. I think she just places little value on things that don't ultimately hurt her end game. Clearly journalists don't care about the holes in her past. She's lived her whole life inventing characters, so she likely doesn't even see the holes herself. Think about her dirt-encrusted home with her filthy dogs or her filthy clothes and hair. She doesn't care about those things so she doesn't see the obvious problems. She does however care about designer clothes and bags, so she tweets about them incessantly.

Only this mentally deficient weirdo would brag about her Kate Spade and BCBG haul while not seeing the problem with wearing the same exact dirty designer dress for weeks on end.

Maybe sociopath isn't the right word. They should really invent some composite mental illness just for Wu.

I don't really think we need new terminology for advanced autism with a bank account.

Also I'm not bothering to screencap nearly 20 tweets about #WWDC that John is not attending. I'm sure John is making great strides in District 8 while speaking exclusively to techies in California (who don't give a shit what he has to say anyway). Very dishonest. Sad!

I can understand struggling journalists desperate for recognition and chasing that one article that would make their name sinking low enough to write about Wu, it's the whole 'old-money' connections I just can't wrap my head around. It seems like every time someone did John or later on Brianna a favour all they got in return was them fucking up massively. He/She had opportunities the overwhelming majority of people on earth can only dream of and managed to mess it all up, yet still Wu has these connections and backchannels that predate the Gamergate and harassed woman in tech scams.

I mean it's at the level where I wouldn't be surprised if Wu had video evidence of some Mississippi/Washington DC high-society figure railing lines of premium Colombian import Kokainum before murdering a couple of hookers or something.
