It's pretty short but for those who can't \ don't want to listen right now it boils down to Lynch saying he's more interested in actually representing the district than worrying about some troon five weeks into his term. I mean, he doesn't use those words- in fact, if he were Southern I bet he would have said "well, bless her heart" but it's clear he has no interest in engaging with Wu.

So, let me get this straight... her claim to understand the struggles of the working man is that she grew up vaguely in the vicinity of poor people. Is she stoned or just stupid? You cannot seriously go around calling other people "ivy league elites" when the only thing separating them from you is that you were too dumb to qualify for an ivy league school.

Edit: Just to add, I hope she persists with this line throughout the campaign. It's going to play brilliantly against Lynch who actually grew up poor in the projects of Southie. Fat rich kid who never worked a day in life vs. hard working blue collar boy made good, the papers are going to eat her alive if she ever tries to play the "I knew of poor people" card during the campaign.

That is the opinion of a politician I'd vote for.

And he's right. He just started a new term five weeks ago, he has a job to do, and it's not even time to start campaigning again until it's actually time, because for now he has to do his best for the people of Massachusetts instead of worrying about everyone who wants his job.

My take is that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is being served by the most competent and honorable person that could have the job right now.

Mouth platitudes on twitter for two years, raise money from gullible orbiters, put up a token campaign, rinse and repeat the next cycle. I love the fact that Brianna is oblivious to the fact that if she did somehow manage to primary Lynch, that would lead to +1 on the Republican House scoreboard, because the GOP machine would demolish her.

It's theoretically possible (not likely, just a non-zero chance) that she could somehow sneak up on Lynch and primary him, but even if that somehow happened, there is no fucking way that the GOP strategists don't dump a god damn truckload of dirt all over her doorstep AND they get to tar all Democrats with the "lol this is the Democratic party". You saw how the right-wing ran with the moon rocks story because it basically confirmed Republican stereotypes of liberals, and this is 2 years out from her being a real candidate. If she won the primary it'd be one of the worst things that could happen to the Democratic party. We're talking potential national implications.

Edit: In a nutshell, Brianna primarying Lynch would put Massachusett's 8th back into play for the Republicans, something they had pretty much given up on because, despite being working-class, it's still pretty deep blue. But you put a nutcase social justice looney up there, all of a sudden the district is up for grabs because working-class people hate that shit, and you're gonna have GOP money from all over the country put into turning a blue district red. Which would be awful for the Dems for obvious reasons.
