I can't find an active or open thread on this site about Anita Sarkissen so I'm going to post this here. I saw this shitty meme defending Anita Sarikseen go viral on twitter which somehow managed to get 60k likes. We have finally reached the point where people are so removed from Gamergate that Anita has unironic defenders.

How would you be able to tell if YouTube and Twitch are where culture is "increasingly set"? If it enters into the "legacy media" (oof right-wing Gamergate-adjacent term) then the legacy media would still have value by playing this role of spread it and if it doesn't then how do we know it doesn't just reflect YouTube or Twitch specific culture?

Also, I find it interesting that John last year proclaimed he was getting off Twitter for Twitch but now he's back exclusively on Twitter telling other people they need to get on Twitch.
 
I'm sure all the new gamer dads will have to be scrutinized and vetted politically and ideologically before getting that Wu checkmark. I guess you can only be a role model as long as you are just playing video games without using no-no words and not actually helping people restore their sight. Bragging about purchasing expensive stuff, as long as it is only for yourself, is probably also excellent role modeling behavior according to Wu.

Why isn't he streaming more on Twitch if this is his take. He has a channel, which he only uses to tell people to switch from Cloudflare to a company one of his fuckbuddys is working for. We need more cringe gaming with Kermit the Frog commentating on it Elliot!

When has he ever tried to "model less reactive behavior"? He's not even doing it in these tweets, instead he's doing passive-aggressive sniping at other people he won't name who don't realize they should listen to John over some vague shit he won't name. And this from a guy who flies off the handle at anyone who dares correct or criticize him no matter how politely.

It was seriously less than a week ago that he declared playing a video game or not was a morals test.
