Let's face facts (didn't someone say John used to be on car forums asking about driving manuals), he harps on it because it
was a difficult accomplishment...for him. For most people it's just not - It's like learning to tie your shoes. Maybe when you haven't done it it seems scary and complicated, but then once that first week goes by it's a yawnfest and that's the tell
- someone who picked it up at an avg rate is going to relate that it's really nothing to be scared of (and hence,not proud of b/c it's not a big deal)
