That's helpful, thanks. It wasn't him being blocked that was making the search function return no results, because being blocked doesn't prevent them from appearing. It was the fact that they were quote tweets. The "from" and "to" operators only show replies. Tracking activity when people are quote tweeting each other is way harder, because to my knowledge you need to already have the URL of a specific tweet to figure out what the quote tweet responses to it are. You can't just pull up all the instances of when a user was quote tweeting another user like you can for replies.

In media, it's one thing to be a completely unqualified blowhard, another to put your host on the spot like that. Some people will tune in to watch a blowhard, but no one will watch dead air. It's said that 80% of life is just showing up, but if John doesn't even show up, what good is he?
