His Patreon has been brought up before, it states that he uses the money to make video games while Wu himself have repeatedly stated that he does not make video games anymore and is spending all his time and efforts on politics. Having a parallel donation stream going directly into the pockets of candidate seems a bit weird.

Wow. Out of nowhere. I don't even know what to say...

This is a really fantastic turn of events. Pretty unexpected but this is going to be a lot of fun. John has kind of been getting pretty dull and predictable as of late. He has been looking for something like this to boost his status for a while. He probably injaculated when he herd about this. It looks like he really hit pay-dirt! Well, when I say pay-dirt I mean this metaphorically since this carries some non zero chance that it could lead to his and Frank's financial ruin. This is great for us. Whatever the outcome of the case, the more mainstream press John gets, the more is revealed about him, and the more dude looks like a lady you are going to be hearin'.

I have no idea if this case has any kind of legal footing at all, but I do see a potential for this to be another real milestone for internet troon drama crossing over into the real world. I mean, could you imagine if some kind of civil trial actually took place? It would be like Wrestlemaina.
 
I don't have to worry about election cybersecurity, John, I live in a state with paper ballots.

What is wrong with him putting up this picture to be the face of his campaign, this looks psychopathic and the longer you stare at this giant picture the worse it gets. I imagine anyone interested in donating would get turned off right there.
 
Thanks to Brianna for making my post explaining the FEC's lack of interest in her campaign outdated by immediately pivoting into trying to mingle funds one of the few things the FEC does give a shit about.

Especially for a highly public LOLsuit that will barely need any serious legal assistance to get dismissed. (Is it even individually filed against her or is she a joint defendant and could let the Young Turks just handle it for everyone?)

The funniest part is "a proven track record of fighting for progressive values" since there's nothing even resembling this on the website anywhere. They didn't even come up with some bullshit like turning one time they went to a meeting or followed them on Facebook into "member of famous group" or something like most candidates do.

Either he lacks the self awareness to realize what a ghoul he looks like, or that was just the best photo out of the lot. My guess is probably both.
 
So I went to Wu's election site. There's a big nothing there. There are no policy papers, no deep dive into anything, just a paragraph of text that's as bog standard as they come. It should be easy to write up some "cybersecurity" policies for such an expert.
