I think he might be up against real competition in such a district. If he tries that shit in Cambridge, all the SJW conformism in the world won't prevent the nerdvalanche that his gaffes would prompt.

This, but also a lefty-techy district would probably already have a representative close to Wu's stated views. That pushes the race more toward a discussion of qualifications and experience, which is obviously the last thing Miss'ippi John wants.

We kind of went over John's options in the state when he came up with this farce. His best bet was probably against Katherine Clark but John wouldn't dare run against another woman (especially one he's had a loose association with). I think why they chose Lynch's district is because they had so many progressive pals and people like Warren saying that the moderate Lynch would be fucked against a true progressive Democrat. Only problem is that Brianna isn't a real progressive (his political identity can be roughly summed up as "opportunist") and he can't hide his character flaws as well as seasoned politicians.

Yeah, John has somehow figured out that "college students"is code for "black college students." Never mind that college students, regardless of race, are more likely to vote for Dems. He confirms this stupidity by noting that Mississippi State is 72 percent white but that Oxford, home of Ole Miss, is almost blue. Problem is, Ole Miss is 78 percent white.

The stupidity will never end.

And the United States is 77.1% white so there's not really any apparent problem unless Wu believes that 50% of America is black, 50% is Asian, 50% is Latino and so on.

Note that race is mostly self-identified, too. There's a certain group of recent immigrants who increasingly just identify as white.
