Given that the last few days has seen a flurry of activity to reinforce John's 'brand' as the most persecuted woman of all time, whether in tech or otherwise, that seems a distinct possibility. The "miscarriage" would, of course, be caused by stress from the "misogynist attacks" that he endures on a daily basis. I mean, the metadata assault alone proves his point! Oh, the humanity.

Beyond his perpetual victim status -- and his constant claims of new outrages committed against him -- what else does he have on offer that he can leverage for attention?

Of course, the corollary to that (in his mind) is that he is bloodied, but unbowed. He will never give in to the forces of darkness allied against him, those forces that just can't stand to see a strong, successful "woman"of power. He is the John Of Arc for our time, and willing to fight to the death (of whatever remaining brain cells he has left in that male-pattern-balding noggin of his).
 
He’s not brazen enough to claim he’s had a miscarriage. That would be a line he’d never cross because he knows people would roast his ass over that one.

Exactly. Notice how careful Brianna's choice of words always is whenever the topic of having kids comes up. John knows that his tranny protected status only goes so far.
 
I can't see Wu ever pretending to have kids just because I think Wu wants to continue to pretend to be a quirky young woman for as long as Frank will bankroll her and being a mother or expected mother would just get in the way of that.

Explains why Natalie still hasn't given birth yet, she is waiting for Wu to get pregnant so their kids can play together.

This is probably one of John's rare attempts at that thing humans do called humor. You can't run in a Democratic primary in Massachusetts if you're a registered Republican.

Warren already confirmed that almost everyone associated with the campaign quit of their own accord because they got fed up with Brianna. The only campaign staff that the Wu's technically "fired" was Mystery Man #1 who probably didn't exist, and Warren's friend Imran Cooper who didn't even live in MA, so it's very hard counting these 2 people as legitimate to begin with.

Out of curiosity/boredom/autism I decided to take every person who was paid under the guise of "campaign worker" on the FEC document to find there's a whopping total of 7:

LYNCH, WARREN*
COOPER, I
GARCIA, ROBERTO
GARVEY, KATE*
QUIAMNO, SAGE
REARDON, CHRIS*
JONES, M

*Of that 7, only those 3 people managed to last more than one quarter. Warren already let it spill that Kate and his friend (Jones or Reardon) quit last month because they couldn't take Brianna anymore. Since those were the last 3 people listed on the disbursements, they literally all fucking quit.

It's why she's recently taken to blaming her failed campaign on hiring "inexperienced newcomers". She believes her campaign staff quit because they couldn't handle the work. It can't possibly be because she sat at home playing video games all day, duh.

Anyone who thinks Wu would lie about a miscarriage or pregnancy doesn't understand her scam or her methods.

She might hint at a losing a family member or a friend having a miscarriage, sort but would never outright state that she suffered a miscarriage. It's all about vagueries and gray areas with her, a miscarraige would be something with a papertrail that she could be called out on.

John has also been a lot more careful about not claiming to have fake degrees.
