Looking as awkward as ever. I never thought I'd say it, but I kind of miss the hooker boots. At least they cover up more.

I guess that explains the liquid computing thing. Christina Warren did a panel yesterday with some Microsoft mobile people (god, that must be a depressing job these days. downsizing waiting room. I imagine their chief activity is trying to find another department to move to.) and I guess that was the only panel Wu actually went to.

A lot of build sessions are glorified sales pitches, can you imagine how boring it would be to attend a whole day of sales pitches you didn't even understand?

Honestly she'd fit right in Seattle. Rocking your "badge" outside the office is pro-forma here. The Microsoft and Amazon people do it the most despite the fact that those companies (and their younger millenials) are usually looked down upon by the older generation of techies here. I've never seen someone rocking a Valve or SpaceX pass on the bus FWIW and those are vastly more prestigious companies at the moment.

Wu should just move to Seattle and run for city council here. Her batshit insane ideas might actually play. Certainly more than her district in Boston.
 
I wonder how many tens of dollars John pulled in from that event. He has to travel across the country, on his campaign’s dime, to find people to give him money for his campaign. People in his district won’t do it.

Why is this not a story?

Edit: If this were a conservative candidate, illegally using campaign funds to attend personal talks, you know it would be all over the media. Instead, we have to protect the stunning and brave fake woman because “she’s a progressive” running for Congress. This is why I don’t support progressive causes, they’re blinded by tribalism and identity politics.

John is a nobody who gets trotted out when the person doing the scheduling has a personal hard on for him and gives him a gig. He's small time as a far a scampaign goes so he isn't worth the government's time either. Someone in District 8 might give a shit if there was any chance of him winning or doing damage to the party. Once again, he is a nobody with no pull unless someone gives him a soapbox.

I just want to see John/Brianna finally get his comeuppance like what happened with Greta/Nina. I want to see all his lying catch up with him.

I know it’s going to happen eventually and when it does it will be a glorious meltdown. I’m very impatient.
 
That party looks off the hook, yo! I bet the neighbors had to call the cops because the noise from Frank's screaming and the dogs whining in hunger kept them up all night!

The only "liquid computing" Wu does involves swallowing Frank's "liquids" so he'll buy John the latest Apple toy.

That's what's so fascinating. By all rights he should have self destructed long ago.

He can make himself the laughing stock of Twitter several times over and still be treated like an authority.

He's rude and incompetent on podcasts, and the gigs keep coming.

He gives incoherent speeches to empty rooms. Still doing those.

He burns through hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the Frank bucks keep flowing in.

Most lolcows getting this much attention can be figured out. They've got *something*, be it influence, charisma, or even just a pair of tits. That Wu can be such a genuinely vile person, provide nothing of value, and still be trucking along; it's the mystery novel that never ends.

She is the poster giant for the Dunning Kruger effect. Most people speaking to empty rooms would run out of steam. Their self-esteem would eventually take a hit. In Brianna’s case, she honestly doesn’t seem to see it. She truly thinks she’s the authority on all things tech and feminist.

Microsoft hasn't innovated anything in tech since the 90's. Every new product or service they release is a shitty knockoff of a company that is doing it much better.

They're one of the most anti-consumer companies in the world. The machines they build are designed so they can't be repaired. They are against right to repair and have spent a fortune in lobbying so they can use the DOJ as their personal army to stop people from fixing their machines. They literally work with federal prosecutors to stop people from making system restore disks for older computers (they want you buying a new license on that 7-year old laptop).

And for someone who talks about privacy for consumers, she has no problem propping up a company that was fucking handing over access to e-mails, voice chats, texts, and anything you kept in their cloud storage to the NSA without a warrant. Windows 10 has a fucking keylogger built-in the default settings for christ sake.

The funny thing is that companies usually have to fork over thousands of dollars to someone's campaign funds for them to shill this hard. All Microsoft had to do was provide her with a free dinner and maybe a pen and she's a living, breathing billboard for them.

Also "liquid computing" was the future 4 years ago. Is she still on iOS 7?
