I always think the more interesting question was what did Wu do between graduating in 1995 and going to Ole Miss in 1996? There's an entire year that's unaccounted for in the John Flynt resume.

Honestly, looking at Wu's low set and weird slanted ears and odd mandible placement, I think Wu has some kind of congenital cognitive impairment. I doubt young John was a very good student and may not have been expected to go to college, an impression supported by the fact she failed to get an undergraduate degree during a whole decade of schooling. I wonder if John's family made arrangements to pack him off to ole miss just because he completely failed to find a job in a year of trying (or, more likely, not trying.)

You technically don't need support from any party leaders to win. Trump had next to no support from republican officials in his primary.

That's technically true but Trump was an extreme outlier in that his massive wealth allowed him to fund his own campaign infrastructure. Everyone else is more or less beholden to the party leaders as they hold the purse strings.

Now we just need to wait for Wu to burn their house to the fucking ground.

That will be roughly 35 seconds after Wu's "Official Elon Musk Flamethrower" arrives from Amazon. We should probably gift him one, the entertainment value would be worth the expense.

i have no idea how it works, but can Wu call himself dem if he's blacklisted and not backed by democratic party?

i just thought a party had to back ya before you could put yourself on the ballot as dem/repub whatever like yep Wu is one of us and a dem we back him being on the ballot as dem. So im obviously dumb.

Party affiliation is largely a matter of self identification. A Candidate can call themselves whatever they want. The party as a general rule can't really do much besides saying "we're not with them" which it generally takes some extreme stuff to do. The determining point is whether or not they win or lose the primary. Anyone registered for the Primary may run. But the party apparatus is under no obligations to offer support to that person. Wu cannot self fund a Congressional Campaign. He does not have the resources. Most initial runs for Congress are backed by the candidate mortgaging their homes, and then paying back those loans via the campaign donations. Donations do not trickle in at a rate that makes them viable to use to directly fund a run. You need a pool of Capital up front. Wu can't get a Mortgage, remember. Heck her opponent Lynch has the money flowing and support flowing from the DCCC the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. That's what makes this whole thing a farce. The district has a well liked, personally wealthy and party backed incumbent Dem. Heck Wu might have had a better shot running GOP simply because no serious GOP contender is going to bother to mount much of a challenge in that district. Let it sink in, Johnny deliberately moved to a District from outside it, to run in a race that he clearly has no chance of winning, when plenty of other open or softer seats are out there. Wu never had any intention of winning this. It's just another of Wu's little ego trips and fantasy's. Rank "I'm a Politician" up there with "I'm a Journalist!" "I'm an Engineer!" and "I'm a Woman". Things Wu will never actually be, but likes to play pretend up until the point anybody starts expecting any real work get done.

I wondered if she was trans when I met her. I've never met a woman that tall. I've never heard anyone talk about it.

I found this thread by Googling her name. Anyone doing any due diligence probably has too.
Wow, this almost seems surreal to me... but I guess it must happen now and then. A true and honest oblivious constituent meets Wu in person as the semi-media-hyped totally fierce and capable entrepreneur and feminist politician, thinks something seems off (or maybe not... you just maybe suspected tranny and thought nothing of it but wanted to learn more about "her"), decides to hit up the Googs, and finds this thread.

I'm curious... how many pages in were you, or what Wu event, before you got to

Trump knows how to play the media like a fiddle. He didn’t need to spend that much money.
That’s why the Democratic Party will probably go for celebrity candidates now.

Well I can't speak for him but I know mine was the second thread and the fabled FF14 "Eat Balls" incident.

Please make an appointment with your eye doctor. Anyone with normal vision should be wondering why that man is in a dress screeching about nerds.

I agree with everything except the end. I think she thought she would win based on her winning personality, name recognition, and that campaign donations would be flowing in to any woman who said that Trump was a Nazi.

The first is a farce, the second only exists within a tiny fraction of people who were paying attention to GamerGate, and the third might have been true within a certain set of parameters, but would involve having that winning personality and name recognition, plus having an actual campaign, and would always be hard against a generally liked incumbent.

I will cop to being the true and honest oblivious constituent before I knew anything. I only knew the most basic outline of GamerGate. I first met her at the state convention last year but I already knew that people were pissed at her and thought she was running a farce campaign. I think that was the first time she went to a democrat event, which is inexcusable since she'd been running for 6 months at that point.

I didn't pay too much attention until she filed her financials last summer and the link started making its way around the state with people mocking it for being a slush fund for her husband. The same thing happened with her fall financials, I think even more so.

I can't remember the exact search string I used to get here and it may have involved words or phrases like scam or slush fund, but it was not exactly highly technical snooping. I have been following along with this thread since last August and checking in every few days to see if there's news. If I'm reading this, I am assuming that other democrats in the district are too.

Rich parents that apparently were quite liberal with the ol wallet, my guess is on just screwing around on someone elses dime for a year.

Maybe he's somehow grown a talent for convincing people he's actually doing something, some real con-man stuff. First it was his parents with whatever was going on through childhood resulting in ten years of college and $200,000 for an animation studio, then Frank and $400,000 for Rev60. Later in life Wu could ride the progressive "secretively a trans woman in tech" wave but why would his parents look at their dullard of a son, who they knew the potential and spirit of very well, and think that his idea of starting an animation studio is something he would actually try to do and the potential return for everyone involved would be greater than just setting the 200k on fire.

He has to be able to lie well to make shit like that happen, or spray them with pheromones from some gland idk.

And now there's Frank. Frank's a weirdo, but he's out of their home during the day so maybe Wu can just lie about doing shit during the day? Maybe the sporadic tweets about meeting voters, shaking hands and having to use hand sanitizer all the time aren't just meant to fool the internet. Frank's obviously a mark and Wu's meal ticket, Wu also lies about everything to everyone...

Interesting. I do agree with you that the most likely story is that the unaccounted for year seem to imply John was just mooching off his parents and not trying to get a job or higher education. He was a legacy admission to Ole Miss so it's possible the parents got fed up after a year and forced him to their alma matter.

And now there's Frank. Frank's a weirdo, but he's out of their home during the day so maybe Wu can just lie about doing shit during the day? The only reason that Brianna and Frank are together is precisely because Frank is basically a sugar daddy. The parents Flynt had to have cut off their son after their last attempt at getting their son on track ended up with him dropping out again and then suddenly trying to turn into a hideous woman, so then magically here comes Frank the money maker who is looking for wife number 3.

Given that Frank himself sounds like a true piece of shit, he and Brianna deserve each other.

As for Brianna? All that ghoul does during the day is sit around the house playing videogames boosted with cheats, playing freemium iOS games, and getting high on whatever substances they have on hand.

well, John's lolcow wiki page is #5 and his ED article is #6 and an article about moon rocks is #8 and all on the first page of a bing search, #4 and #6 on duckduckgo.

Unsurprisingly, the lolcow wiki page doesn't show up in a google search and ED is page 3 because google is shit and manipulates search results.

Yes you can register for whatever party you want to. By blacklisted I mean people on the state committee won't return phone calls, won't offer advice, and are telling anyone who might work on her campaign not to. Campaigns are short and people who work on campaigns need to get another job next year and want to keep their reputation in good standing. Everyone except for Warren Lynch, I guess. I don't know if he's Stephen's cousin: is that verified, or someone here made it up? I've never heard it but I don't discount it. Warren Lynch is a tool and an idiot and it's very funny that he's branding her as a Bernie supporter. Nobody will fall for it.

If you look at his social media, he refers to Stephen Lynch as his cousin quite a bit. He also calls Stephen Lynch a homophobe among other insults.

These posts are the basis for my theory that the Wus finally hired a living breathing human for the campaign because he could offer dirty family secrets. Hilarious because Brianna pretends to be vehemently anti “dox.” She might use Lynch’s public figure status to justify her attacks on him, but she will still go back to the “GloppyGape, the alt right, and Russian hackers are spreading lies and threatening!” narrative any time negative press about her gains traction.

Brianna is already slinging mud. Expect this to get much much worse if she gets on the ballot and thinks she can win.

Please. Please let this happen. If John actually gets that far and really unleashes (which he will, because he's a nasty, spiteful shitheel), he will be completely unprepared for the unholy hell the Massachusetts Democratic machine will unload on him.

Brianna's tactics begin and end with mudslinging. He has no idea how to argue a point.

As I said earlier in the topic, if the shit Wu is throwing around is the best he's got even with Warren's help then Lynch must be pretty clean.

The whole scampaign is amateur hour, from hiring a feckless pothead who is jealous of his successful cousin to the lack of any real online presence for the campaign. Brianna barely talks about it except when one-upping people or trying to look like an expert on literally anything. Frank and Warren just use their personal social media accounts.

Since it’s such a small dollar campaign, they seem to be aware that they can put in minimum effort and skim those sweet campaign donations with no repercussions.

Yes, it's confusing to me that John is being so reckless, when his story is so shaky and his opponent so powerful. If Lynch or the Democratic Party ever get sick of John's shit, they'll be able to wreck his legend without even trying hard.

It's a pretty good test of just how delusional John really is. If, as lots of people here believe, he's just a scam artist, he'll pull out before it ever gets that far, most likely dreaming up some bullshit harassment situation that forced him to step aside (and allowing him forever after to call himself a "onetime Congressional candidate"). If, however, he's really nuts, then he may try to stay in for the long haul, which will be hilarious.

Surely there's something seriously wrong with you if you get pneumonia at least twice a year?

Remember guys, Johnnie Walker used to be a fat fuck,

Wuman.jpg

and probably saw this commercial at some point:

It still would be baffling though why he would prefer to suffer Aids now instead of properly taking his meds as prescribed - but then again troons are known to have different priorities.

It just occurred to me that as you mention problems with the wiki, we still lack any kind of information (as in reliable, not blatant bullshit from Wu themselves) about what Flynt's life was before entering college. It makes me wonder if perhaps they were homeschooled?

According to Classmates.com, he graduated from Hattiesburg High School in the far southeast part of the state:

I'm inclined to believe it myself. "Flynt" is an uncommon surname, the graduation year checks out, and a quick search for his father turns up a practice in Hattiesburg as well.

Lolcow Wiki claims that he was only admitted to Ole Miss because his aunt was on the faculty. Schools don't go out of their way to see if you have family who are faculty/big donors, so it's possible he applied and got turned down as a regular applicant, then had his aunt intervene when he reapplied the year after.

This gap year will be near impossible to document-even if we find someone on Classmates.com or another website like it who remembers John, you really think we'll find someone who kept in touch with him post-graduation? By all accounts he was even crazier then than he is now.
