What the FUCK happened here?????? Michael J Fox try to sprinkle a little lemon pepper seasoning over that chicken? Holy shit in heaven.

You think that's bad, take a look at all the crud baked on to the teakettle.

If you look at Wu’s Twitter followers, you quickly come to the realization that virtually none of them are from Wu’s supposed District. They aren’t even from Wu’s state! (Save perhaps Mental State. But I don’t think Wu’s Mental State has any registered voters.) Even the voices in Wu’s Head don’t plan on voting for Wu.

She has no supporters in the 8th district, except from people who don't know anything about her except that they vaguely heard of Gamergate as being about brave feminists fighting Nazis. Then someone else fills them in, and they decide that Lynch isn't so bad after all.

Her campaign would have been much better running as a republican. She is more republican than democrat in most of her positions. It would have been a more fun troll, too. Pity she didn't think of that.

Except for the small detail that there's no proof that it was actually her riding, and the editing makes it clear it could have been anyone. Especially with the bike and her outfit changing between shots.

I am willing to believe that, specifically for that poorly taken and suspiciously edited video, Wu may have rode a motorcycle. But Wu doesn't 'ride' a motorcycle. Putting on a little motorcycle outfit and riding a block for the specific purpose of having someone record it doesn't count, Wu.

...much like you don't "restore cars" by destroying and giving up on an Audi and then buying a Porche which you plan to add appleplay to, someday.

Well, he'd have to give up some of his positions like """"gun safety"""" and supporting BLM and so on. But imagine a Republican Wu candidacy that went like this:

"I believe that what's good for Big Pharma, Big Biotech, and Big Tech are good for America. As your Congresswoman I'll lobby for favorable tax treatment at the federal level for corporations that create jobs in places such as District 8."
"As a computer enthusiast and tech blogger, I believe that cybersecurity is an integral part of national defense in the 21st century. As your congresswoman I'll vote for sorely needed appropriations to keep our military and civilian infrastructure fully protected and staffed with modern security experts."
"I'm tough on national defense and tough on communism. If Putin's trying to worm his way into the halls of American government I'll push back every time, even if the President disagrees."
"I grew up field-stripping Glocks in Mississippi, so I know how deeply valued Second Amendment rights are in our country. As your congresswoman I'll work across the aisle to address the epidemic of gun violence while preserving our constitutional rights."
"Growing up in Mississippi I received a devoutly religious education. Having seen the good work faith-based organizations can do in underprivileged areas, I pledge to support them in Congress and vote for the limited, conscience-based exemptions on various social issues that they need to continue serving the community."
"I'm a dog lover and own three well-groomed canids."

I don't put too much stock into Brianna's personal politics beyond that he's going to side with whatever personally benefits him (and maaaaybe Frank if he's particularly cognizant that day). Brianna just regurgitates whatever he sees on Buzzfeed or Reddit that day. The couple of times he's gone against the beliefs held by the social justice crazies that still follow him on Twitter have backfired horribly (ex. the defense of capitalism tweets).

Beyond that, I don't think John could ever run as a Republican, even if it did give him a better chance of success or fame, because it clashes with his woman fantasy so much. In John's head, Brianna Wu is this glorious, powerful Amazon who crushes the old, sexist establishment and is an example to women everywhere of what it means to be female. He can't be that if he's running with something that feels as pro-establishment as the Republican party.

Now I wonder who it was who first foretold the prophecy of the failing New York Times - not that you actually have a subscription to this rag, you piece of shit.

Wu's too dumb and useless to run as a Republican. He brings absolutely nothing to the table and he's not rich, famous or powerful enough to be tolerated. Plus he wouldn't have the progressive protection anymore so he would get questioned about his lies and phony credentials immediately. He would be exposed as a lolcow in mainstream media. He really has no choice in which party he runs for. Not that it's a calculated move on his part, being a Democrat just means he can get away with acting superior and shitting on people and we all know he's a bully at heart.

Yeah, the toxic past hiding behind his toxic present is what locks him into being a Democrat for life. If John Flynt had been an otherwise normal guy who just decided to troon out, he might have been able to become a Herman Cain-esque token minority Republican. But then, if he were an otherwise normal guy, we wouldn't have this thread.

At the same time, though, being a Democrat is producing ever diminishing returns for him and it will only get worse since most Democrats with an ounce of common sense are realizing identity politics has cost them their base, and the only Democrats that are still beloved by their voters are either those balls deep in IDPOL friendly states (California) or are guys like Lynch, who pragmatically chuck party bullshit out the window in favor of keeping the voters happy if push comes to shove.

John Flynt is stuck in an impossible situation, as he can't chuck ideology out the window, he put all his chips on that bet and he can't fold without having to leave the entire card game. Worse, he's in the worst part of the country to take advantage of rabid IDPOL types to carry him, and his rogue Republican style beliefs in capitalism and the fact he has the ideological consistency of a weathervane make even what little IDPOL help he could get very sparse at best.

The Massachusets GOP would take one look at Wu and say "Not Just No! Fuck No!" It's Massachusetts. The local GOP does have some experience in screening out local freaks and weirdo's just being run under their banner as spoilers. They may not be able to win elections, but at least they have better candidate control than Alabama.

I am still confused why anyone would put every ingredient in a separate bowl. It's like you want to make it more difficult to cook and make more dishes you have to wash. I am sperging here, but just imagine to go through all the effort of cooking a 'special' dinner for two and then you drink a can of Dr.Pepper at the table - something with such a strong taste of it's own it completely clashes with everything you've cooked. There has to be some decent, inexpensive, red whine in the US, right?

I feel much more cultivated now because I drink out of glasses at the dinner table.

Ah yes, "major variables" and "minor variables", terminology used by no engineer ever.

Stay salty, John. Aren't you supposed to be eating?

Variables are variables, it's importance is subjective based on how they're processed.

Variables should never be classed as "major" and "minor", because when something doesn't work, you're going to look at the "majors" and ignore the "minors".

This is fucking stupid.

I think it's to look like the way they do it on cooking shows, where some minion pre-measures all the ingredients beforehand so the chef doesn't have to pour and measure while the camera's rolling.
Blue Apron displays ingredients the same way on their site.

This is exactly what the state democratic party did. Wu was blacklisted by anyone who is even a little bit important to the state party by last summer. I don't know if they did background checks or just met with her and saw her crazy a mile off but trust me she's been screened out by anyone who has ever met her. She did meet with a few people last spring I think and all of those people walked away screaming no, and warning other people off. No one will talk to her, no one will be hired by her, no one will volunteer with her.

I'm mostly kidding about running as a republican, but I think it would also be funny, and I think the republicans should run someone. They will never win against Lynch, so they might as well have some fun and grab some headlines.

The Republicans save their money for races they have a chance at.

And Wu's only chance in hell would have been a special election after someone died, resigned or whatever. Kind of like how Katherine Clark's crazy ass got elected.

No, Wu never had and will never have a chance. Special elections are a mess, when all of the crazies come out of the woodwork, but they're still elections. You still need to campaign, raise money, find people with more power to endorse and support you, find people down the power hierarchy to volunteer for you, make deals, and get voters: just on a crazy sped up timeline. Wu is incapable of doing any of these things even on an extended 18 month timeline. She has managed to piss off every single person who might have been able to help her run a decent campaign, and can't even bother to show up to campaigning events. That's the big one. Three quarters of campaigning is just showing up. Wu has not shown up for anything.
